Unfortunately, my experience is STILL ongoing, and has gotten so bad that Iâm reluctantly having to post a VERY long and negative review . It started with purchase of my leather sofa from Roy at the Plano/Preston Rd location. (More about him later). I paid for delivery and my sofa was the first delivery of the morning. I was told they couldnât enter my gated community because the entry code I was giving them was incorrect. It was delivered to the wrong location! The new leather sofa was on its side in the truck without any wrapping or cover. They were so rude even after I had removed the prior sofa the night before to help them out.( No thank you) The sofa âlookedâ great, but started squeaking a few days later. I called Roy and he said call dispatch and set Appt for Tech to come out. I did and was set an appointment on 07/19/22 between 9-11:00am. At 10:45, I had not heard from anyone. I called dispatch and told tech (Clay)was still at his first Appt. I was told maybe another 20 minutes to finish. I could reschedule. I didnât and 30 min later tech(Clay) called and said he was on his way. (No apology) I asked if he knew where I lived, he assured me he did. I even gave him the gate code to make sure and my covered parking spot number. He finally arrived, but I watched as he drove pass my home.( Familiar huh?) I called and informed him of this. After accessing and tightening every bolt on the sofa, he said it was a bad frame and made a call to exchange it for another sofa, with instructions to check for squeaking before the delivery, which is on 07/26 after 11:00am. Wish me luck!!! Oh about Roy, the salesman , I texted him along this âexperience âand still not heard from him. Iâm over expecting apologies from anyone at Weirs . I feel Roy got his commission and to hell with customers after making the sale. Iâll keep posting until a resolution is madeâŚ
07/26/22: Delivery of âReplacementâ Lthr Sofa arrived. Delivery schedule between 2pm-4pm. I received call at 4:00pm from delivery driver. They apologized for running late, wld be at my home in 15 minutes. (NP-they at least called and did apologize) NP in finding my home and entering the gate. They were very nice, also. Thatâs when things took another turn for the worseâŚ.The delivery man knocked off several pieces of valuable art on the wall while turning the old sofa on its side for removal. The âReplacementâ sofa leather was scratched in numerous places, the back had a huge indentation in the middle and to make matters worse, it also squeaked! Iâm now waiting for a ANOTHER replacement sofa on 07/29/22 URGENT!!To add insult to injury, the Weirâs furniture delivery man has called me twice since being in my home today!(5:51pm & 7:37pm). He claims he doesnât know why! Iâve called every ph# tonight to get this resolved, but after hours. Any suggestions? This is RIDICULOUS⌠bordering on HARASSMENTâŚ
07/27/22 & 07/29/22:Mo Bernal (Mgr of Plano Store) contacted me in the afternoon on 07/27/22. He assured me that the 3rd Sofa should be delivered today (7/29/22) between the hours of 1:30pm - 3:30pm without incident. The 3rd sofa was delivered as scheduled. The way the sofa was placed in the delivery truck was totally different from the first two. It was covered and not crammed around other customers purchases. It remained covered until placed in my home and BOTH delivery men brought in and took out replacement sofa without damaging items in my home. ( Not done the first or second times- as a single delivery man used a ârolling dollyâ) Another difference was how careful, respectful and pleasant these men where. The Lthr sofa delivered was Perfect! No damage to the leather and most importantly, NO squeaking!! This has taking so much of my time, not to mention several days away from my business. It has been an unfortunate, frustrating and hard lesson to have learned. It will forever change my opinion about doing future business with ANY company that finds this experience acceptable!! Rita Echols at Weir's Plano, Texas. She is our favorite sells person. ALL sales folks there are ALL good but I think Rita is absolutely the best. We like working with Rita the best. When we walked in the front door she greeted us with a hello and how are you. Now that is very nice of her. She will always do the best she can to help you in whatever you are looking for at Weir's Furniture store in Plano, Texas. We were very impressed with her. We admire her. She's so very smart. Rita knows her stuff at work. Rita will go out of her way to help you. She really is the best and please come ask for her. She will help you. She works very hard. She will find what you need.    Read moreWeirâs Furniture delivery is the absolute worst. I shopped the showroom in Plano and the saleswoman convinced me the chest of drawers there with the shoddy drawers was just an imperfection and assured me that they werenât all made like that. Okay. I bought it along with a mattress and box spring. The delivery day came and it was pouring rain. The guys showed up with wet muddy shoes. I asked them to remove them or I offered them shoe covers to put over their shoes. They declined and then decided to bring out their own shoe covers. Wonderful. I tipped both men $20 each. Then after they left, I realized the drawers didnât work. The middle drawer didnât close all the way and the bottom drawer was stuck. I called customer service and was told a technician would come fix the drawers. We decided to get a replacement instead because this wasnât going to be a short, easy fix and I didnât want someone messing with it in my babyâs nursery. The replacement comes and we ended up needing to return the box spring. The guys who showed up â well, one of them, took the box spring and dragged it down the stairs. There were THREE guys total but only one took down the box spring and hit each stair on the way down. Ridiculous and unprofessional. Then they show me the replacement chest and the drawers were sticking and there was damage to one leg. I declined it. They loaded up and left and did not take the original chest with them. I called customer service and after some back and forth, they said they would call me back and no one did. I finally was able to get it picked up today and they 1) refused to wear shoe covers or remove shoes (whatever, at this point, I just want the furniture gone) 2) the guy was trying to convince my husband that the drawers only open if you open the top drawer first (what is that insanity?!) and 3) when I asked for a receipt for return/proof of pick up like I received for the box spring, the guy told me he didnât have any receipt and they arenât given receipts to give anyone- and that I had to reach out to customer service. I demanded one anyway and he was all of sudden able to go to his truck and procure one for me. Magic. We have spent thousands at Weirâs in the past and have recommended this store to family and friends, but this will no longer be the case as their delivery guys are the most incompetent, condescending, and rude people we...
