I have dealt with this store in the past and was okay however I've been in there the past 3 times (seffner store) and have seen the same 2 unprofessional people there running it. 2 weeks ago I got a loan on a hand gun, 1 week later I went in to pay the loan out and was told I needed a back ground check. I said I had bought there and had a concealed carry license. The woman Felicia very smirkly said " we have to make sure you haven't committed any crimes since" first of all it's hard to commit a crime with a gun if they're holding it. But overall I believe the right answer should of been "it's just a state law or company policy" so I said go ahead and check, I've never even been arrested. I paid them their $5 for the check. He said it would not come back till Monday and he would call. Here it is now Wednesday and still no call. I stopped in on my way home, as usual the same unprofessional people standing behind the counter. No one else but me standing in the store. The male is telling his female coworker some trailer park sounding story about an argument he's having with someone about a dilapidated vehicle he had and he was proving that it ran. After standing there several minutes he looks at me and asked if he could help me I tell him I never heard back about my background check. After fumbling around he says "oh you didn't finish filling out the questions" so that shows if that's so he was more worried about getting my money and to leave on Saturday so they could do whatever they do. Also my point is if they saw I hadn't completed it, when were they going to contact me to tell me? Then they go on to say I had answered a question wrong about living in the city, I said I live in Brandon and it's a town not a city. I tell him a city has its own police department, he looks at me like I'm stupid and says Brandon is a city and they have 4 police substations. I said yeah, county sheriff stations a city has its own police force. Both of these unprofessional idiots start in on me and would not shut up. I must admit it started to escalate from there. They both told me to get out of "their store" I left and attempted to call their district manager with no answer. I get the "mailbox full' message and even texted but still no answer. Coincidentally I deal with the location on Brandon Blvd and get treated like royalty. It's safe to say once I get my gun back I'll never step foot in the seffner store again...
Read moreWOW! Just . . . WOW!! I looked up pawn shops near me and came across this one. The reviews seemed really good, so I figured I'd give it a shot, but wasn't expecting much. I mean, after all . . . its a Pawn shop, right? So, I just upgraded to a new Samsung S7+ tablet and keyboard, and decided to sell my old Samsung Tab S4. I'd researched what they were generally going for on the open market, so I had an idea of about what it was worth. Still, I was expecting to get low-balled despite the fact that both the tablet and keyboard were in PERFECT condition and I also had it in all of the original boxing with manuals, cords, etc.
First first of all, I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness and orderliness of the shop. It felt like a small frontline retail electronics and jewelry store. On entering, I was immediately greeted by the shop staff and store manager Roberto. The name of the clerk who assisted escapes me at the moment, but she was also training a new employee. They were upfront about the value of my items. They were informative and very engaging. At the end of it all, I got VERY close to the price I was asking for both items.
If only all pawn shops could be like this! OMG! I can't believe I walked away in a better mood than when I entered. I was expecting to get taken advantage of, and walked away feeling like a valued customer - AT A PAWN STORE!! I left knowing that for a fact I'll also be going back to purchase some jewelry I spotted.
You've earned a new loyal customer. Thank you!!
And no, I do not work for this store, I am not a friend of the owner or anyone who works there. Nor was I compensated in any way. This is just one very top notch business, and I think people should know about...
