Dollar General — Local services in Plum

I can remember when this store was first opened. At first people were judging about how “we don’t need to more dang dollar stores around here”. But overall this store has been very convenient. I often find myself traveling down to this very store to get supplies for school and projects. A great place to get a quick snack and drink. Good for a great price on school supplies. Various cleaning supplies and bath products. Skin care selection is great. The only thing I have to criticize is that sometimes the line is long and also the store can be messy but that is somewhat expected for dollar stores. If you want some candy or other decorations for any holiday, you can find it here. I do warn you though, there are no public bathrooms and I have yet to find a dollar general that does have a bathroom! Nice big store and kind employees. I recommend making a stop at this store, for sure. The quality is obviously what you would expect, not luxury but hey, you get what you pay for, it’s a dollar store. Always a mess. One time they weren't open during the regular hours and the guy at the door barked the registers are not working as usual. Ugh Today they didn't give me all my groceries and now they don't answer the phone. It is so inconvenient because I was taking them to a clients house 20 mi away.. One time I was calling for someone at the cash register when he finally yelled from one of the isles and said did you squeeze the chicken? That was his method how were we suppose to know it wasn't an item to be purchased. There were so many items at the checkout by it. That is a nice area. I don't know were they are hiring these irresponsible workers from. Usually Dollar Generals' have very reasonable prices and a convenient store to shop. Too bad this one in Plum on...

I came to this store shortly after they opened and I must say the employees were very friendly and the store was clean! I revisited this store once again a few months after they opened and I was looking for African American hair products and there were NONE! So I tried again yesterday to see if they finally got all there shipment in and low and be hold there was still NO african-American hair products. I feel this store is racist and I will never shop at that specific Dollar General again. I guess because the location is in plum they feel like there aren’t that many African-Americans or their should not be that many African-Americans so they don’t supply that specific store with African-American hair products and to me that is...
