AJ's Super Pawn — Local services in Pomona

Went in to shop as opposed to pawn. Offered assistance only after we were leaving. Nice store, great range of products, and pretty organized. Some prices were a bit hard to find (some items were missing tags) and prices were hit or miss. Especially with tools and jewelry, prices were around 20% below MSRP, so it depends on what you want. For tools, items were mostly medium to heavy wear, and thus the asking price seemed a bit high. Jewelry was in excellent condition and displayed beautifully. Poor price if evaluating based on scrap value plus item condition but a great price for people wanting something quick, specific, and competitively priced compared to chain stores. Would definitely recommend checking out. I think there's almost always something for most people in pawn stores, and this was one of the nicer stores in the area.

I wish there was zero stars because that's what I would give them. I went in yesterday for a quick loan and was treated horribly by this emo young looking girl with crusty lips, lip piercings and braced. She had such a blank face from the beginning. As I proceeded and showed her my trade for the loan she did not say anything at all. I had to start the conversation because it was such and awkward silence. She looked at my things and told me they were worthless and I couldn't get the loan. I asked why and she called some white guy who didn't say anything to me either but said out loud "oh that's the cheaper version." I then asked her again why they couldn't take my things and she turned around with attitude smaking her hands saying that my controllers were damaged and couldn't do anything so that's where I lost it and confronted her about her attitude and told her not to talk to me and for someone else to help me out. She then brought my stuff and handled my things roughly and put them down in front of me so I left. AJ's is wonderful i have been going there for years . I always have a great experience weather to shop or to barrow. The staff is knowledgeable with all the merchandise and always there to help. Customer service is TOPS ! So today and yesterday I stopped in . These kind folks are the best even the newbie Maggie she is on her toes very helpful knowledgeable willing to go the extra mile for her customers thats great Service is what keeps us coming back. A pawn shop can be a stressful job lots of emotions going on. I've been there for years at least 30 that I'm aware of and I can't say that I've never had been in there and there been somebody with a bad attitude.
