Cardenas Markets — Local services in Pomona

This is probably to worse Cardenas you can go too and let me explain why. I been coming here for years! And seems like it just gets worse and worse. So I been noticing that their produce is trash. The store don’t feel cold as it use to be. All produce looks old most times. Let me talk about their pricing mostly on (miscellaneous items) that I think this is something that should be investigated. I have seeing some items over priced. Like WAY OVERPRICED to me it seems illegal bc never in another store I’ve seeing such items that expensive. I had pictures in my other phone. Their meat was good and now their quality has decrease. They never have enough cashiers when it’s busy. Most cashiers r rude you can see they hate being there. I bought tortillas which I have always liked they were super thick. Idk what happened with their machines. But honestly be aware of the prices more than anything Cardenas r overpricing their items and seem to do it in the areas where there is minority bc most probably pay with food stamps shame on you Cardenas. Someone will eventually open and investigation...

The meat department at Cardenas Markets is absolutely trash. I’ve purchased multiple items from there—both fresh and frozen—and way too often, the meat has been spoiled. Whether it’s seafood or other cuts, the quality is completely unreliable.

Yes, they’ll give you a refund if you have your receipt—but why should customers have to go through that hassle? You get home expecting to cook a quality meal, only to be hit with foul odors and wasted money and time.

This has happened more than once, which tells me it’s not a one-off issue—it’s a problem with how they store or handle their products.

Also, be warned: anytime something is on sale in the meat department, it’s likely just old meat they’re trying to get rid of. A discount shouldn’t come with a side of food poisoning risk.

Cardenas really needs to step up their standards. Until then, I’ll be doing my shopping elsewhere—and I suggest others...

I was racial profiled at this store on my last visit, i won't be going back to this store ever again. What is so cold about this encounter is that the guard saw me come out of the cashier line and he still wanted me to prove that I purchased my items. I'm like no not going to happpen. Shopping while black is real. I don't need to steal anything from anyone under any circumstance. Welcome to cardenas 2024. The company that training the guards need to do better. And evidently cardenas condone this behavior so I blame them also. I get it that people steal no matter the color , but don't be so quick to assume that all black people steal cause we don't.
