Pizza Pirates — Restaurant in Pomona

Update: Gave them a try a few times recently and service and food was amazing. Even though I had a bad experience the first time, i wanted to give them another try and i am satisfied with their service. Went to buy pizza from this place and was treated extremely rude. Went to this location for the first time and ordered a all american pizza guy at the front who took my order made the wrong pizza and then tried to make me take it i nicely stated no thankyou i would like the pizza i ordered had to wait again for them to make the right pizza and another guy who was there apologized and said he would give me the other pizza as well because they messed up the order once the pizza i ordered came out the original guy who took my order only gave me the one pizza and said he wouldnt give me the other one cause i didnt order 2 pizzas i kindly asked then why would the other guy even offer if he wasnt going to go through with what was promised and the guy who originally took the order wrong had an attitude and completely dismissed me even though it was his fault the wrong pizza was made. They have any manners and dont care about their customers even though they made the mistake. wont order her ever again and also i own a trucking business and was trying them out to potentially buy a big order for future events. Not anymore. Wouldnt recommend this place and wont recommend them to any of my business...

So, I've come here for almost a decade now. It's usually pretty good, for the price you get decent quality toppings and the dough is tasty and the ranch is really good.

Tonight was very different. New staff of employees, they did a very poor job. One pizza had so much Alfredo sauce all the toppings literally just slipped off and fell into the box just pulling a piece off. The cheese bread was so greasy I was able to sneeze actual drips of oil off of it. I know it's cheese bread, and it's always a little greasy I mean cheese is greasy, but there was way too much butter sauce used. The bread was soggy with oil.

Taste wise, it was still okay in terms of flavor. But man I couldn't even eat more than two pieces of the bread because it was just so heavy with oil. Really ruined it for the whole family... the four of us talked about it and we are done getting pizza here. It was a waste of 40 dollars. We also didn't even get the cups we ordered which made sharing the 2liter more unpleasant.

I don't think I'll want pizza for a while, I thought pizza pirates was the safe haven away from domino's and pizza hut and God awful little Cesar's but I guess not. Don't know that I'll ever order here again.

Can't say I'd suggest it unless you really like a half cup of grease...

I rarely write reviews…maybe 3 total in the last 15 years, but these guys deserve one. We tried Pizza Pirates for the first time roughly 2 years ago because the pizza on the coupon we received in the mail looked really good. In just seconds we were on their extremely user-friendly website, order placed, and delivered right on time. It was nice that the driver actually knocked and waited for us to answer and was polite and thanked us for the order after having no contact deliveries for the last few years. The pizza and salads are amazing! Every time we order, the service and quality are outstanding. And tonight’s order was no different. The driver came to deliver and I noticed we were 1 item short, but in all fairness it was a big order. I told the driver and his immediate response after checking his vehicle for it was, “I’m so sorry, I’ll be right back with it.”, left and came back with it 20 minutes later. We’ve had different drivers since ordering from here but everyone of them have been polite and courteous. And, they always have a coupon active to save a few bucks. All you gotta do is try them once and you’ll be hooked. Our family loves our local...
