Lassie House — Local services in Pomona

First impressions of the property and gardens : outstanding! Quick walkabout of the front and side (the rest was understandably fenced off and private), revealed a cute goat and chicken enclosure and more gorgeous greenery. Gorgeous, well-cared for and obviously appreciated by butterflies and neighbours. Sweet little well with water feature offers a peaceful spot to rest.

Unfortunately, first impressions of the humans we encountered was not great. I called the number listed on google and started to politely ask the woman who answered if we needed an appointment or ?... but she abruptly cut off, telling me I had the wrong number/hung up on me.

The man who'd come out the front door when we knocked/rang didn't seem to know the number I'd called, and seemed in a rush to "go for a run". We were not offered a better time to return, were not given a correct number to call and were told to self-tour the yard. Which we did.

While sitting at the well, a woman came out and didn't acknowledge us. Stranger still, while still sitting at the well, a woman called me/left a voicemail asking if we'd "..scheduled a viewing today?"

Suggestions: -Clear indication on their website that visitors are welcome strictly by appointment. -Clarification of which phone numbers to call for visits or "viewings".

Really disappointing that we couldn't see the interior and what their website advertised as a gift shop etc.

I wouldn't return or recommend based on the UNWELCOMED vibe I experienced today.
