Entering the shop as a quilter’s husband, I’m generally used to being almost “invisible” to quilt shop owners and staff. However, today was a totally different, positive experience.
GREAT quilt shop!!!
My wife went a good distance into the shop, while I wandered around nearer the front, where the new Bernini machines were displayed. The dark haired lady who was assisting another customer out the door with her new machine greeted me when she came back in and then said, “Will you be taking home a new machine today as well?” I shot back a quick retort, as I usually do, and she laughed. BUT, she peaked my interest since my wife’s current, older model Bernina has begun to uplift my wife’s spirits and creativity once more. With the shop’s current promotions and the possibility of trading in her older machine on a new one, the HUSBAND (me) is quite interested in the prospect of a new machine for my sweety.
Paying Attention to WHOEVER is in the store, along with being a knowledgeable sales person, will quite likely have us drive the TWO HOURS from where we live, back to this wonderful, well stocked shop. (BTW, I am a 31 year high school art teacher, and we also have a male friend of the family who works at the Sewing Lab in Wichita, KS, TEACHING sewing. Please don’t ever assume guys aren’t artistic or that...
Read moreThis shop is such a breath of fresh air in the quilting industry. We drove from Enid and I was so impressed with the very wide variety of fabrics that are strategically showcased in a reasonably sized footprint. I found so many modern fabric lines and prints that I would normally have to order online. The shop was neat, tidy, very clean, and well lit. I found so many fabrics that I loved and ended up buying because the prices are reasonable. I was also intrigued with the many notions, tools, and gadgets that would be very helpful in daily sewing. The ladies were very friendly and I loved that they spoke highly of other stores downtown. They also offer several upcoming classes and seminars that were geared towards the modern quilter. I’ll be visiting...
Read moreDue to traffic problems, we missed getting this to this shop before closing time when we passed through this area two years ago, so when we were passing through again now we made sure to arrive in time. It is a nice shop with a good selection of fabrics and kits, and has a large assortment of quilting notions as well, more than we often see in this size shop. The back part of the shop is a training area where a sewing class for young girls was being held when we visited. They also have a longarm...
