Big Lots — Local services in Poquoson

The exchange policy is ridiculous. I wish I would pay on top of what I already paid, to exchange something with tags intact unworn that I have ALREADY exchanged with receipt but your employee gave me the same product I came to exchange back again. Of course by the time I realized she gave me the wrong item back I didn't remember where the receipt was anymore. That dear Big Lots is not my fault nor my responsibility to fix. However, I digress this specific big lots did not make the policy up. However you have one of the rudest employees I have ever come across. She has absolutely no business being anywhere near customer's. She just barked at me that it's policy like she had been waiting to say that to somebody all day long and her moment had finally arrived. And no, I wasn't confrontational or argumentative before you try to disvalue my statement using those tired excuses. But I went home and dug it out of the trash in the back yard just for her so she could have her beloved receipt. She knew I had been there to exchange it before because she was standing right next to the girl the last time I was there, staring right at her as if she were training her or something. When I mentioned it she tripped up in her lie, because she started off by saying she wasn't there and switched it to she wouldn't remember. Really? Do...

The BigLots in Yorktown is fabulous!! I was so surprised, I'm used to the one in Hampton and Newport News. Everything was neat, stocked, and clean. People were friendly!! I hate to say it but the store in Hampton almost made me quit Big Lots altogether. RATS are everywhere. Dirty, unfriendly associates... Yorktown Big Lots, you amaze me. You corporate should give you all a Hi 5! They really need to look at the Hampton store and get a new manager and associates! Get it cleaned up or close it. Wish I had...

After changing things up a bit, there is more variety which is nice. But, some of the shelving is way too tall and placement of items is confusing. Many of items that are similar can be found in different locations throughout the store. Ending on a positive note, they had plenty of fans! We checked Walmart 1st and they had maybe 4 fans in total. Big Lots had plenty and also a decent number of types. Crisis averted as the teen cannot sleep...
