From the outside this establishment looks wholesome and exciting for any kid, but what lies inside isn't anything far from a scam. You go in and you've already paid $50 in advanced just to be there. Then if you're having a party, you pay $145 for 10 kids and 40 credits on a card for the arcade. Now if you're thinking "Well I've paid $145, I should at least get some pizza or cake for my child included for this ridiculous price", you'd be severely mistaken. You have to pay $10 each for a Domino's pizza because their oven is broken and the cake you will have to buy and bring yourself. They don't even sing happy birthday, don't even light the cake or cut it; You're essentially paying for a space to do everything you could've done inside your own home. You want to play Miniature Golf? Or Laser Tag? Yeah that'll be extra, after they've already told you everything was included for the minimum price of $145 over the phone prior to arriving. Only when you're leaving do they discuss the payment plans and only then do you actually realize what a rip-off this place is. They could just about charge you for walking every five steps and you'd be none the wiser. Oh and they give the kids goody-bags at the end with a brochure and a business card so your child and their friends can advertise these lackluster gimmicks. What kid wants advertisements in their goody-bags? To summarize; the workers are horrendously inexperienced, the food they make themselves is disgusting, and if you go here be prepared to take out your...
Read moreI visited the old Putt Putt over 1000+ times from the 70’s-10’s. I know it changed to play around and would have never turned down the price for the place offered by the business next door to convert to parking either. I visited the new Play Around today and played the course. Wow, I know someone did a lot of work and a lot of effort was put into the project. However, it’s terrible. The concrete under the greens is terribly surfaced. It makes the ball make odd movements. I understand a break, that’s not what I’m talking about. This is Putt and pray, luck not skill. The work aroud the holes is poorly done and you can actually see places that have air under the green putting surface. But the worst part are the bricks used as the wall. You cannot play bank shots correctly because the bricks have gaps between them and corners. Putt putt was a game of skill, if you are a good putter, it shows at a Putt Putt. This is just hit and pray golf. For many, it will do. For me, I don’t understand if they packed the animals from the Putt Putt, why not bring the walls for the holes. Why not add railings to the new course? A lot of people played Putt Putt as a skill, ever see the Putt Putt skin games on Saturday mornings for $1000 a hole. It just seems the only market this place is catering too is the young kids birthday party. If you can survive on that, than it works...
Read moreWe had a stretch of fun which is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. The card swipe system of tracking tickets was uncomfortable, in large part bc there weren't signs indicating how they worked. Half of the machines were out of order. We were with a birthday party. Some guests arrived later w younger children and were denied golf access w the party bc they were late. The machine to recharge cards did not take cash, and it was $1 to have the employee add money at the counter. The staff was oddly guarded about being taken advantage of and ignorant of customers w small children, for example my son wanted a tattoo prize, and I chose 4 out of the basket for him to choose from bc he isn't tall enough to see above the counter, and the gal was very ready to advise me "only one" before catching on that I was not trying to press my tattoo advantage. Also we were in line behind 2 girls who kept swapping out their prizes for different ones worth different ticket values. when my son wanted to trade in his duck for a truck, the gal said she couldn't bc the transaction was already complete. It had the potential to be a really fun time bc the equipment is there, but there were too many odd aspects from the rest of the business model to make it worth the while to...
