Read moreLoved City Center at Oyster Point! I visited this place just exploring and picked up a few things from some of the many stores in the area. The place is overall very well maintained in terms of landscaping, cleanliness, safety, and aesthetics. The buildings are all clean, the architecture, layout, and civil engineering for the entire area are superb. The City Center area stands out in Newport News as perhaps the most upper scale and overall safest, cleanest, and best managed commercial area in Newport News. There is overall very little crime in such area, in part due to diligent efforts of business owners and employees, residents, and local police. There are numerous businesses, restaurants, botiques, supermarkets, and shops here selling a huge variety of things and providing sundry services, plus apartments and hotels. From law firms, to engineering and tech firms, to bistros, cafes, ice cream shops, hotels, clothing stores, indoor and outdoor eating/dining, manicure/pedicure shops, exercise gyms and spas, barbers and hair salons, and pretty much anything you need or want, it's all at City Center and in a nice, clean, and safe area. The overall cultural tone and ambience is one of positivity, benevolence, and ebullience. I highly recommend everyone in the area or visiting the area stop by and check out the various businesses here and the awesome ambient atmosphere just to see what a commercially thriving well maintained area is like and to enjoy and take advantage of the goods and services of businesses at City Center. Get an ice cream cone from one of the ice cream shops and stroll around checking things out. You'll be glad you did and will enjoy...
Read moreCan't say enough good about this place. Very, VERY nice place. This is a place you can go for a romantic night out, or a place to bring your kids. It's a place you can go shopping, go eat, or you can just simply go to relax at one of the beautiful water fountains and not spend a dime. Very versatile in that sense. I also always see alot of people go to run and/or work out with their dogs or by themselves. It's so pretty at night and VERY peaceful but very alive and fun all at the same time. Oh and also I LOVE the fact they do have a couple free parking garages too. Free is always a plus lol. The only thing I would lile them to do and dont lile about City Center is around the main large water fountain there needs to be a fence or wall guard of some sort, I see children running around there all the time. That water is more than 10 ft deep so I feel there needs to be a short walk or some kind if fence to be put around there for kids sake. Other than that this...
