Getting real tired of places with "Comics" in their name and their store is 40% warhammer, 20% board games, 20% figures/pop, 10% cards, and 10% comics. And the back issue comics are piled against a wall being used as tables for the people playing Warhammer literal inches in front of them.
Edit to reply: You did have that corner with the new releases. That's why the 3 stars. I should have been more clear in my review, I was admittedly frustrated at the time. I honestly couldn't tell you how much comics you had after those shelves and I'll tell you why.
Stars taken off for my biggest issues: the disrespect of the back issue comics and how difficult it was to even see what was there. Your back issue comics were in 2 places: as stated, stacked against the window being used as tables for the warhammer players, so I'd have to move drinks, snacks, miscellaneous packages, etc. to even see the tops of the boxes, and they were maybe 6 inches from the tables so I'd have to practically sit on the player's figures to browse. And the second place they were was stacked was under a table that when I grazed my finger across the box I was immediately told they "weren't for customers" because they hadn't been sorted. Fine, that's fair, though if the boxes are out for customers to clearly see I don't see why I can't browse and be told a price if I find something I like. But like I said, fine, unless you're still counting them among your inventory brag.
I get it, comics aren't as profitable so you have to branch. But if you have "comic" in your title, I would expect more respect for your comics to at least not have them used as...

Every time I've gone into Jersey's, it has been an amazing experience. The staff are the friendliest in the area. Super knowledgeable about their product. Even for someone who wanted to buy a gift but doesnt really know what they're looking for....They hopped right into action to help.
My wife wanted to buy me a gift but doesnt really collect any TCGs. She went into Jersey's, explained what I collect and BOOM, the staff and Jersey's knew exactly what she was looking for, helped her get it and just made her feel so extremely welcome!
I believe there's someone that works there named Justin and I cannot speak enough good things about them. The welcoming attitude, the kindness, the knowledge...it all leads up to a GREAT time and experience in the store.
Cameron(hopefully I spelled their name right) helped us out yesterday (13Dec2024) when we went in and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND during our time there. They went out of their way to explain some things to us, never once made us feel bad for asking questions and the kindness they showed to us just made our whole day/week.
I cannot speak enough great things about this store. If you're looking for a local games/collectable store...THIS IS THE...
Read moreOne thing I hate more than anything with a store, is when you give an honest review, and the owner/operator replies with a long, snarky post.
How about this, Maybe take the criticism with some humbleness and reflect on why you got that criticism.
Now here's some constructive criticism. Organize your weekly/monthly comics better. Its a mess.
Move the comics you don't want people to go through to the back (thats called back stock in the retail world), having it out in the front with labels on the boxes invites people to look through them; the comic scene has a term for this and Its called back issues, its not a new thing.
Position your back issues better. I don't want to dance around some sweaty warhammer player to get access to 18 boxes because you put their play table 3.5ft from the boxes. and of those 18 boxes their stacked 3 high, box on box, to get to the lower ones you would need to move the boxes.
The other 50 you boast about are behind stacks of chairs, completely inaccessible. Don't boast about how many comics you have when only 1/4 of them are available...
