I was in the practical nursing department. I had an instructor named Dawn. She never taught us any clinical skills in the lab or in the hospital. She kept talking about weddings and what she thought we thought about weddings. I just now looked her name up eight years later and realize she is a wedding decorator. She was decorating weddings instead of teaching us what we needed to do and she gave us all F’s on our clinicals andSaid don’t worry you have to have an F at first and then it’ll turn into an A. I disagree. All of her students failed exam after exam and I got all A’s and B’s. I began to use the knowledge I learned in the textbook at the hospital. On a couple of floors employees stated “she is awesome. She will succeed.” Dawn wanted to understand why they felt that way. They said all of your students play on their phones but her. She is trying nursing skills. It is a mess. I was thrown out for being late a few times which is understandable however they said I did not have my clinical hours when Dawn for the first month decided that she wanted us to only do clinicals. I had forgotten this detail. They said they had to throw me out because I didn’t have clinical hours when she decided she want didn’t want to do class at all. Dawn Wanted us to only do clinicals for the first eight weeks so I had not missed clinical hours. I really had because Don sat on her computer the whole time. She ended up getting me kicked out and she did not teach anyone anything I hope she’s not still teaching there. She did not even know what MMHG means. Millimeters of mercury. The pressure in our bodies is tested by the way mercury moves. She did not know anything at all and did not care and sat in the hospitals on her computer designing weddings. She never taught us a single clinical skills. She began with 20 students or something like that and ended up with three or four. I am so disappointed as this was my last government grant I could have. I went to SCF and i was given such amazing knowledge in a short amount of time. If Dawn Was terminated I would like to have another chance at the nursing program. Thank you. I am disgusted and hunted this whole time. I was kicked out of the program for a few absences when I did way more clinical hours and exhausted myself so she could sit on her computer. I was too emotionally overwhelmed to let them know hey we did clinicals for 8 to 10 weeks straight because she didn’t like teaching the book. I assume that was because she was called out for her wrong information several times by me and one other woman. No, that’s probably not true. She wanted to sit on her computer and develop her business rather than teach us how to do...

My son was the first class to graduate from the Paramedic Program. He and a few of his friends who had just graduated from the local fire academy were planning to attend a different Paramedic Program however they were constantly being approached by the dept head/instructor of the program at CTC to attend her very first class. Although they were concerned that this was the very first class, they were promised that the program was going to be accredited within a year and that they would be able to take their Paramedic anywhere after passing the National Registry Exam! This we just learned is completely FALSE! My son passed the state exam, worked for 1.5 yrs in the field, just took the National Exam and passed only to learn that the school has not been accredited and has not started the process! We relocated back home to MA shortly after passing his National Exam. 2 very amazing Fire Depts offered him positions which he had to decline after learning his certification is worth nothing outside of the State of FL!!! I am sickened to think of the time and money lost. People that choose this career put the lives of others first. They are brave heroes! In this time when we need more first responders, my son can’t practice! Shame on this school! Shame on the depth head! Please look into this program before committing! You never know where life takes you and you certainly don’t want to be left having do the program...

The campus is very convoluted they have the technical college they have the County Public School office they have the main campus they have modular units the buildings are kind of poorly labeled I'm not really sure I'm trying to find the Welcome Center and I'm having a hard time signs that give you directions our place to put their very spaced out and I'm not putting down the school as a whole cuz I don't know the actual School itself but I know I've been turned around twice by the sign maybe it's just me not usually bad with directions but overall the campus Little Messi I've seen some trash grasses and cut good and I know being a technical school there's definitely some kids that can bust out the lawn mowers and weed wackers pressure washers I see some moldy stuff everywhere and being a technical school I know these kids to do it for free but other than that the front of the building looks cool I like the layout and I like the overall shapes and Contours the trees with the Weeping moss and it looks...
