We have a small living room and wanted super deep furniture for our personal comfort. I looked online and checked (the super helpful) button that shows you whatâs in stock at the showroom. We dislike going from store to store, yet we refuse to buy furniture unless weâve seen it and sat on it. I saw the Audrey collection online and it was my #1 choice. Knowing it would be a challenge to find deep furniture for a small space, I came prepared when we went to the showroom with measurements, photos, and even a few sketches. John welcomed us to the store and I told him that the Audrey series was my #1 choice. He showed it to us and it was deep and comfortable as could be, and I had a gigantic selection of colors and fabrics to choose from too! I explained to John that the room was small and showed him my measurements and sketches. He immediately knew how to solve our problem. He introduced us to their incredible designer Patti, and both of them worked with us. Their expertise helped us create what we wanted, in the small space that we had. Patti inputted everything onto her computer, and she showed us how the pieces would fit and look on her computer screen. Now seeing the visual on the computer, we all worked together to choose which Audrey pieces would fit best in our small living room. If it wasnât for Pattiâs expertise of this computer program and Johnâs knowledge of the Audrey collection, weâd of bought the wrong pieces without their help. After the sale John gave us his personal cell number, just in case we had any issues after we left the store. Sure enough when we got home, I realized I made a gigantic mistake on the colors! I called John and explained the mistake I made, and he immediately fixed it for me the next morning, and even set a confirmation of the change too! John went above and beyond for us, and we couldnât have felt more grateful and relieved. The entire furniture experience was flawless with John and Patti, the text updates, and the smooth on time delivery. We will be repeat customers of John and Patti, and will repurchase and refer others to Havertyâs Port Charlotte store too. We are 100% happy with our new furniture, and get to enjoy the deepest and most comfortable furniture weâve ever...
   Read moreHavertys is wonderful, Guardsman...not so much. My wife and I have been customers of Havertys for about 30 years and when we purchased these furnishings we also purchased the Guardsman Insurance Plan and were told that this would cover anything that happens to damage this furniture, or any defects for 5 years. WELL, I guess that is not completely true...at least not from Guardsman!!! We have an expensive leather sectional sofa that is already showing signs of wear and the color is coming out along the stitching and seams. This Sofa now looks like something that is 15 years old or older. Guardsman has declined the coverage stating that it is not covered. Don't ever buy this coverage as it is just a scam by Guardsman to take your money. I must say however, that when I called the store in Port Charlotte they were very concerned and accepted the responsibility to make this right. After I sent them pictures and explained the issues the store manager called and scheduled to send a tech out to see if they could in fact repair these issues. The Manager even went so far as to offer a replacement if that did not meet to our satisfaction. How about that for service!!! While I'm not happy with Guardsman Protection, I'm very glad we purchased thru Havertys. I trust that all will go well with the repair....if not we'll replace this couch thru Havertys as it seems as though they want...
   Read moreThis is an update, and a well deserved one at that. I will not buy furniture from anyone else. From the time I met John Goresh through today, this store has gone above and beyond for us. Jeremy from repairs came out and tightened up a couch we purchased. One of the springs failed. I was under the impression I was getting that fixed which is all I expected given the circumstances. They did that and more. Quality furniture as well. THANK YOU AGAIN!
We worked with John Goresh. Iâm in the car sales business, so I know how this kind of thing works from the sales personâs side for sure. Our daughter is autistic so she got a little frisky when we first entered the store. John greeted us as this was happening, and my wife gave him the âjust lookingâ that all sales folks just love to hear. At any rate, it was more about getting my daughter adjusted than anything else at that moment. Our daughter calmed and we continued to look at beds and dressers for her. We sought out John soon after, and he was the epitome of patience and professionalism. We did make the purchase today, and we look forward to delivery when all the parts are available. COVID makes things a little tricky these days, and I know that fact from being in the car business. Thank you, John. This will be our âgo toâ store for future business for sure.
