Sprouts Farmers Market — Local services in Port Charlotte

I have been to this store twice (Port Charlotte location). First time my husband and I went shortly after they opened. I was looking for a produce item that they had posted on their website as in stock. I was unable to find it so I asked a gentleman that was in the produce section stocking. He was very dry and acted like he didn’t want to help me find what I was looking for. He quickly skimmed the area we were standing in and said he had never heard of it, haven’t seen it there, and that they don’t have it. So I asked a lady that was working nearby and she was more helpful but I was ultimately told they didn’t have what I was looking for. The two girls at the register were kind. The second time I went was a couple weeks ago with my daughters. We were watched the whole time we were there like we were criminals trying to steal something. While we were at self checkout the girl that was there stood there and watched us the whole time we were checking out. There were other customers at other self check out terminals but she stood there and watched us the whole time we were checking out. I believe it was because of our race. I will not be returning...

Yesterday we decided to check out Sprouts Farmers Market in Murdock Carousel Shopping Center, which is the same plaza where LOWE'S is located in Port Charlotte.When we first entered, both my wife and I were impressed by the cleanliness and the brightness of the place.  Everything was very well marked and signage was everywhere. You knew exactly where you were and what was in the section you were looking at.  People were friendly and helpful, even at the checkout.We were also impressed by the variety of the goods they had in the store.  If you are looking for a hard to find item, you should probably check out Sprouts Farmers Market first.  I was really blown away by the different items that I have not seen in other stores.They have scads of organic goods that are reasonably priced for the most part.  Yes, there are items that are priced at a premium, but that is why it is called shopping.  You need to do a little research and leg work to find the item you want at a price point you are comfortable with.  However, I think overall you will be happy and impressed with shopping at Sprouts Farmers Market.  You should...

I asked for help to find an item, and was able to find someone who could help me. Once the item was found I was grateful, but the worker proceeded to ask me if I work for Instacart. There was no indication that I work for the service. When you see people shopping in a store, your first thought is to think that they're shopping for their families, but as a black woman I am not given that same expectation. I was shopping for my baby. Then she had the audacity to ask for a good review because her higher ups have been requesting better customer service. I think her name was Rebecca. I told myself that I would stop coming here, especially after I had an associate peer over my shoulder for 3 items to make sure I wasn't stealing in the self check out line. Unfortunately, all of my baby's food items are here. I might make my way to Earth Origins if this treatment keeps up.
