Everything electronics , movies , sporting goods is wildly overpriced . For example .. every thrift shop up and down from ormond to new smyrna sells used dvds and blu rays for 1$ each .. this is a thrift shop that 2$ -3$ or more . Again they are selling a nintendo wii video game system for 150$ it still has the garage sale sticker from who donated it for 50$ on it . You can go to a local retro game shop and buy a wii with a 30 day warranty for 50$ . The newer guy working there wont even listen or take a second to call the game shop to realize the error . His words “ the price is the price”. The i believe manager there thats a nice woman has haggled when she realizes things are priced too high . So i have no clue why they would put someone in a position of making or obviously not breaking prices when you can show them to their face the prices are insanely high and doe snot care because hes waiting for someone clues less to come in and rip them off , knowing the items are extremely over valued . Its sad because the lady and another lady that work there were always nice and actually helpfull . They have lost my business and ill be spreading the word to all of my other friends that have been going there to avoid it completely now . And i feel extremely sorry for people that dont know any better and walk in to over spend for no reason at all....
Read moreThis place is extremely overpriced. I understand that they're trying to help feed the poor, but people that shop at thrift stores are also oftentimes in need and unable to buy new. So by helping the poor they're just passing the buck onto the lower class. How about this. Help the poor and also help the lower class by giving a deal. Don't just move the problem from one class of people to another.
It should also be noted that the place has an odd atmosphere. For some reason they have items that were donated to them in the back that they don't allow people to have access to without asking for permission to go back behind the curtains. They claim it's because it's now a processing area but it always used to be open. Why are some donations hidden?
I've been here a bunch of times and never found a single item worth the price with the exception of one time where I bought an electronic item that was actually broken. This screen didn't work. Meaning they didn't even test the item before they sold it.
Prices aren't negotiable as mentioned in the response. When asked about prices, you are told that it goes to the poor and so it is...
Read moreWent there for the first time this past Saturday. Looked around noticed signs everywhere not to sit on furniture. Use the bathroom as a bathroom, don't touch glass. We thought things were over priced. We picked four foam beverage cozies. Only one of them had a price of 50 cents. We get in line and the lady ahead of us had four old magazines and two blouses came up to 24 dollars. The lady said i have two twenties the cashier got huffy and said she doesn't have change for the two twenties and she would have to use a credit card. The lady buying the stuff said she doesn't use credit cards then she dug further in her purse and found four more dollars. Then it was our turn. She looks at the drink cozies and says four dollars. My husband says this one is marked 50 cents its the best one out of the bunch. I'll pay 1 dollar for all of them. She got huffy and said ok. These foam drink cozies were used. We won't be back. We didn't feel welcome and everything in the store was high. The cashier was not very nice to everyone...
