Port Orange Fraternal Order of Eagles 4089 — Local services in Port Orange

My husband and I joined in Michigan, due to the friendly people that work there and members, so we were excited to be able to spend time at this club when in town. Unfortunately, our first visit will be our last. We visited last Saturday afternoon, only 14 members were sitting inside. We walked over to bar, sat down and waited for service. When the bartender finally came over, she was quick, to point and not friendly one bit. She asked for our card, which my husband showed, then she asked for mine. I am not a member. The bartender told my husband, I could only come as a visitor and he needed to sign me in. We explained were were new members and were not aware, as this is not the same in Michigan. We then ordered a drink. She never came back over, ever asked if we had any questions or talk to us about the club. The waitress on the other hand, was extremely pleasant, offering loads of information on events, special nights, what nights are crowded, etc. The only other time we saw the bartender was when we asked for our tab, it was then she informed it was cash only. My husband walked out to the car to get my purse, and then had to wait some time for someone to let him back in the door, at that time, the woman who let him inside was giving him a hard time as he didn't have his card...it was sitting on the bar where he just came from. She watched him walk out the door, there were only at this time 8 people inside. For this club to be one of the largest in Florida, it is very small in welcoming and friendliness. Great place to go dancing, meet nice ppl, staff Great to very nice. Love the group line dance. Just getting into going to other events going on ( a bit shy- but getting better for me an starting to check out other activities they do. Most the bands are pretty good can't complain some like the country for line dancing, others like love birds get thier share on floor with sweet hearts, then u have old rock, R&B, ect from Then2now who i do best to follow were else they go they have to be my favorite group. Some make u feel like family which is sweet. Private place to have fun, mingle dance or just chat with few.if VA or know of one easy to join. Good price, most the food is good. Fire storm starting, black velvet...

Very clean. Wonderful bartending staff and volunteers. Love the addition of the outside area since my last visit.

I was just there for a wonderful St. Patrick's Day evening entertainment, open to the public. Trish and the Party Train played many of my favorite oldies I grew up listening to with my parents. You know they are great when you see a full dance floor!

Sad I didn't get to buy a dinner. They ran out before I got there. Next year I'll know I need to get their much earlier.
