If you have ever traveled the Turnpike in Florida and needed one of the eight service plazas for a bathroom or refreshment then you have undoubtedly come across a Sunshine Market. This one is located in the Port St. Lucie/ Fort Pierce rest stop.

Sunshine Market provides an alternative to waiting on the long food court lines. The Markets are clean and bright. At the entrance is their seasonal table currently filled with winter and Christmas decorations. Inside the front of the market is a coffee station, hot sandwiches, a cooler with prepared cold sandwiches, Lunchables, yogurt, and hummus. Further inside is a large cooler with drinks. There is a huge wall with every kind of snack food you can think of. I'm a fan of the Sweet Chaos Drizzled Popcorn but you can shop their extensive selection of chips, pretzels, dried fruit, nuts, crackers, and candy. They also sell souvenirs, toys, and have a handy aisle with drugstore items. The headache medicine has been a lifesaver in a pinch.

Sunshine Market has a vast selection of items in a small footprint. Prices are a little higher than your typical convenience store but it is much faster to get what you need here and get back on the road rather than search for a store at an exit. Terrible customer service, three customers infront of me. The cashier named Harold spoke to each one had small conversation. I come up say good morning, he says nothing m. I said good morning a bit louder as I have him my money he didn’t even look at me and completely ignored me. I kindly told him I don’t want my thing give me my money back and have a good day.
