A Message to Our Colombian Community in Port Saint Lucie
I don’t usually write reviews without giving a business multiple chances, because I understand that all restaurants can have off days. However, after four separate visits to this establishment, I feel compelled to share my experience—not to tear down, but to raise awareness and hopefully inspire change.
The first time I visited, I went in for a simple bowl of soup. The service was very disappointing, and the attitude of the staff felt dismissive and cold. Still, I didn’t leave a review then, because I thought, maybe it’s just a bad day.
The second time, I bought an aborrajado early in the morning. Unfortunately, it was stale—clearly from the day before.
On my third visit, I was told they were open, but when I asked to dine in, they said the stoves were already off and only take-out was available. It didn’t make sense to me—whether the food is for here or to go, it still needs to be prepared. I felt like I was being pushed out.
But the final experience is what made me speak out. I ordered soup to go, and what I received was, quite literally, a liter of salty water, a half a potato, and a bone with a tiny piece of meat stuck to it. The price I paid for that was simply outrageous.
This review is not written out of anger, but out of love for our community. As Colombians living in Port Saint Lucie, we don’t have many authentic options, and we deserve better. We need higher standards—standards we know are possible because we see them in nearby counties like Palm Beach and Broward.
To the restaurant owners: I want your business to succeed and stay open. But for that to happen, the quality of food and service must improve. Our community is large, proud, and deserves to be served with the dignity and excellence that reflects who we are.
To fellow consumers: Let’s not accept poor service or quality just because we have limited options. We have the right to demand better. Together, we can elevate the standards by supporting businesses that respect our culture and our expectations.
Let’s raise the bar for Colombian cuisine in Port...
Read moreWARNING!! This place is a joke. Me and my family went here for lunch and we had arepa, chicken, rice and beans walked out with a 78.00 bill. when we were seated we asked for water and they gave us bottled water at 1.50 each, then we noticed that the local Latinos asked for water they were given glasses of water for free, that you normally would get at a sit down restaurant. the waitress walked away from us several times in between ordering and when we tried to change our selection before the order was complete she got angry with us and said that it was already being cooked for us. The only other people in the restaurant at that time seemed to be family and friends because they kept walking in the back kitchen. The food was normal not to good. They have put shame on the Colombian people. I have lived in Colombia and know Colombian food very well, it is delicious. Please save your money and stay away from this money trap, you would be better off at pueblo viejo, me and my family ate there several times for around 38.00. They had the most expensive mojarra more than 25.00. I would not rate this place with a star but it is necessary to write a review. If you don't listen to this review its...
Read moreI don’t take the time to put reviews but this place is a rip off absolutely rip off. I suggest please do not buy any food here. Get a coffee sure, empanadas ehh they were cold. The paisa there was 1/4 of a piece of meet my slithered of an avacado piece was bigger and they say that’s the portion. I asked for a refund but you have to bring everything back of course after you just left the doctors office kids are hungry thinking we support a small business but the service out right terrible. The rice portion was ridiculous too. It cost nothing for them to bulk rice and beans. The pork is practically a frozen pork they microwave, really go to casa amigos the amount I spent here I should have just went there, you get chips and a big portion of food. They won’t help you either about refunding the money. It’s just a shame...
