Edit: after reading your response. its absolutely laughable that you would still claim you get your stock from a third party distributor when you've already been caught buying it all up from Walmart. You have the MJ holdings mystery boxes on your selves, as well as boxes with stickers on them you only see in retail stores, which just proves you pulled them off walmart shelves. You have no third party distributor, you've said so here in replies to reviews. You can continue to lie, but the facts are facts. It's also cute seeing the fake 5* reviews flood in this morning only moments after you've opened. This whole store reeks of desperation. You say it's "insulting to your efforts" but your shop has only been open for two months at most. What effort have you really put into the community besides scalping product of local retail shelves and selling it at a marked up price to families? If you REALLY cared about the community and "family values" you would've left them on the shelf for people to buy at msrp, but you wanted to buy them all and scalp them at your own store. Which is just pathetic. You can sit here behind these fake 5* reviews that came in this morning and try to do damage control, but you got caught, plain and simple
It's bad enough that tcg's like Pokémon are being heavily bought out by scalpers on a regular basis, but to actually see the management of this store inside Walmart buying up all of the Pokémon product in sight just as the distributor is leaving the store. Charli Gilbert in the reviews is the local distributor btw. Used to see her around a lot, then noticed her days that she restocks there are less and less full until suddenly everything was getting bought out. Notice how she gave them such an outstanding review and she doesn't even really shop there
Me and my girlfriend stopped into Dixie Cream Donuts just down the road and decided to pop in about a week or two ago. We noticed how OUTRAGEOUSLY priced all of the Pokémon product was. Elite Trainer Boxes of Temporal Forces, Scarlet&Violet, and other ETB's you can find at a local retail store were listed for like $70-$90, and we immediately left
Fast forward a few days, we're inside the local Walmart and we see someone who worked at the store (owner or manager I have no idea) was at the register purchasing ALL of the Pokémon product from the shelves. A few days later we stop back by to confirm suspicions and yup, there it all is. Sitting on their shelves, STILL WITH THE WALMART STICKER ON ONE OF THE BOXES. They even have the random mystery boxes that MJ Holdings stocks at Walmart's and targets inside their store MARKED UP. Those mystery boxes are already a scam, and to see them buy them all just to try and resell them to parents and kids that don't know any better just reeks of desperation. So it's blatantly obvious that this location has no real distributor for Pokémon products and just goes around buying up all the product to later resell at a RIDICULOUS price over msrp at their own store. They don't even care about the game, or the fans, they just want to make a quick buck off a temporary craze and ruin the value of it all for everyone. There truly is no shame left in the world
I saw in another review and your response was that these were all "Baseless claims". If they are baseless claims, then how come there's so much evidence that proves you're obviously scalping the market? It's just sad to see in the community, coming from full grown adults that already have a successful business
I'd be disgusted to see a kid go into your store to buy an ETB of the new set and spend NINETY DOLLARS for TEN packs. Hey if you can sleep at night knowing how you rip people off, good for you I guess. Must feel good to sell a child a box of marked up, scalped Pokémon cards for $90 when they could've gotten it off the shelf at Walmart or Target for $35-$40. Oh wait, they can't, because you meet the distributor in store and...

Walked in and saw stacks of Walmart upc products including the black bolts and blooming waters priced at 240%. Not even pokemon center. No wonder nothing sells In there. They claim not to be scalpers because they provide a “safe environment for kids and families but do you really when you’re charging above market price? How can you claim to be for the community when the stacks of product at 250% have Walmart upcs on them.
This is their generated response : We do not receive direct distributor pricing that national chains enjoy, and as a result, many of the products we carry are acquired at higher market rates. This impacts what we charge, and it’s something we’re always transparent about.
Comparing our store to “scalpers” is not only inaccurate—it’s unfair. We provide a safe, inclusive space for kids, families, and collectors to gather, trade, and enjoy the games they love. We host regular events, offer a welcoming environment, and pour countless hours into supporting our local community. That value goes beyond just the price on a box.
We also find it troubling that some of these claims are being spread based on secondhand Facebook Marketplace interactions, vague accusations, or pricing taken out of context—without ever stepping foot in the store or speaking to us directly.
If you or anyone else has genuine feedback or questions about our pricing or business practices, we’re happy to have a respectful conversation. But targeted efforts to tear down a small business based on assumptions and misinformation only hurt the very community you claim to care about.
But the reality is I did go in there and confront on price and their excuse is they have so much overhead and have to find product. We have proof and claims of the employee fired at Walmart for backdooring product to you guys. The least you can do is charge Market especially if you’re getting your product from...
Read moreUsed to come in here to buy singles with my kid. Came in a couple months ago to sell some 1st edition holos. The kid at the counter said he "wasn't very knowledgeable about pokemon" and stated his brother was the better one to talk to on these items. Still, he took a look at our binder, pulled 3 cards out of the pages and when putting them back in he creased one of them. He refused to do anything about it and said our cards weren't the quality he was looking for, HE CREASED IT. It was a mint condition Gym Heroes holographic Gyarados. Meanwhile hes telling this other guy with extrememly water damaged cards that his collection is enough to pay a mortgage 😂 so yeah, not knowledgeable or professional at all, his name was Sydney. I have called multiple times to talk to Jen about this and sent contact requests via their website. No response or accountability. I waited MONTHS for a response on my issue hoping ownership would reach out to make this right but nope.
On top of this I have personally witnessed their goonsquad at Gamestop in Tradition (the guy blatantly admitted he was there for Jen and she was paying him 20% over what he pays for the product. His business cards are at the cash out counter. I have also seen them at Walmart and Target, putting everything in the carts even before the distributor takes their final photos. Their new ad on Facebook talks about wanting to get cards to kids but how is it fair to scalp the cards to the parents who are buying them for their kids. Shady business, shady family,...
