Blossom Clinic — Local services in Portland

I cannot rave enough about Blossom! I have had the wonderful opportunity to utilize all of the services offered: acupuncture, massage, naturopathic care, herbal support, and the intuitive gifts each one of these amazing women have to offer. After finding out I was pregnant, I sought support from Blossom and am so very grateful for doing so. I attribute a lot of my for-the-most-part-easy pregnancy and short labor to the prenatal care I was getting from Liz, Lori and Elise. Liz has a genuine warmth about her and is an extraordinary acupuncturist. She works magic with her needles and intuitive sense of knowing exactly what my body needs, and where my mind is at every time I see her. Liz's acupuncture sessions are not only therapeutic, but restorative as well. I always feel so relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards, I'd go every day if I could. Lori is beyond exceptional with her healing hands. My prenatal massages with her were exactly what my pregnant body needed. She also has an intuitive sense of knowing where to focus her energy, creating an overwhelming sense of relaxation throughout my entire body. I must say, my baby seemed to love acupuncture and massage as much as I did, we would both feel blissed out during and after our visits :) Elise is incredibly knowledgable when it comes to a woman's body and hormones. She helped me in the beginning stages of my pregnancy to be sure my hormones were where they were supposed to be, and helped me feel more comfortable with all the changes going on within me. Blossom not only has gifted practitioners, but there is a sense of warmth, compassion and a strong women's intuition I just haven't found anywhere else. Like I said, I cannot rave enough...

I've been a client of Blossom for 2-1/2 years now. Although I've seen Dr. Schroeder (no longer working there) and Liz, this review is for the acupuncture services provided by Morgan Houge.

Morgan provided acupuncture while trying to conceive, while going through IVF, pre and post transfer day-of services (at my RE's office), and throughout my pregnancy. It's hard for me to objectively review her services, because I think of her as more of a friend than a "provider." She is probably one of the top 10 nicest people I've ever met in my life. She's always happy, supportive, and exudes such a loving energy toward her clients.

As far as her technique, I've been to other acupuncturists, and I can say that she is gentle, yet effective. I've never bruised or bled after receiving a treatment. In fact, I have a phobia of needles! (I close my eyes, so I've actually never seen an acupuncture needle.)

Blossom Clinic has such an inviting atomosphere and I always enjoy going there. I also appreciate that they have weekend appointments available. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point: I love Morgan (and Blossom) and I attribute much of my success in conceiving to her warm heart and...

As cliche as it may sound, Dr. Elise and Blossom Clinic have changed my life. I've had a variety of hard to treat health issues and I had long given up hope that I could have vibrant health. PCOS and a constellation of related issues led to fertility problems and general poor health. After a year of treatment with Dr. Elise, I have energy again, my cycle is almost regulated (after two decades of unpredictability!) and I'm 80 pounds lighter. Dr. Elise took the time to really listen and create an individualized treatment plan. It shows that she truly cares about her patients' wellbeing and she has always taken the time to explain the science behind her nutritional guidance and treatments. She knows her stuff when it comes to hormonal and gut issues and I cannot recommend her highly enough! I also saw Liz for acupuncture today for the first time. She has such a welcoming and calming style! The clinic offers a range of nutritional and herbal supplements, but I've never felt pressured to purchase them in-house though I've always been pleased with the quality and price. Really, can't say enough...
