Western Meat Market — Local services in Portland

Meat pack deals not as advertised, website has meat packs and list what's in each pack. I went with (online 65$ for 15lbs) but paid 75 in store. Not a huge issues but pack is also different. First complaint is it says chicken breast but I got chicken parts .. second is I got NY steak 3 pieces and one of those pieces the meat was dark brown, had rotten/fishy smell and was slimy. It wasn't good so I threw it out but makes me weary of eating the other two pieces. (Which I'm cooking for dinner tonight. Bacon was good it comes in prepackaged packs unlike the other meat + wrapped in butcher paper) but that's not a problem. I haven't gotten to the hamburger yet. Also meat packs come frozen which isn't an issue but given I received a rotten piece of steak it's a bit worrisome and also I'd like to see what I'm getting. Was looking for a good deal to fed my family but won't be coming back here because I paid 75 dollars for chicken parts, rotten meat, bacon and ground hamburger. Really wasn't the good deal I was looking for. Oh yeah and the guy dropped the meat outta the box on the ground and picked it up and gave it to me. No second thought....

Really disappointed. Got the $100 meat bundle that comes with a variety of meat. Upon bringing it home and unpacking items the sirloin steaks all had freezer burn, the chicken parts and pork all tasted like they had been cross contaminated with fish (even after marinading and cooking -we have no fish in our personal freezer). The only good items were the bacon and tri-tip steak... Which weren't worth 100$. Definitely sad that our experience here was bad since we wanted to be a regular customer. After going back the next day to ask for a swap out of the freezer burn steak with a receipt in hand and original wrapping on the meat, the gentleman behind the counter was very unhappy about my request and was unwilling to give my receipt back in case any other meat was bad upon opening. My fiance and I have been shopping here for over a year, ever since we moved to the area. We love having quality meat and a great price just a few blocks away.

Today, however, I had a VERY upsetting experience. As I entered the store a woman, who had chain piercing from ears to her nose with Buddhist symbols adorning her piercings, was leaving. As I shopped the two gentlemen working made incredibly rude and degrading comments, the worst of which included "somebody needs to grab her by the chains and guide her to a stall." This absolutely disgusting regard toward other humans, and the horrible way he spoke about the customers that his business thrives on, is enough to make me question whether I will ever...
