Alt's Copperhouse — Local services in Post Falls

I’m upset to have to make this review as we have previously enjoyed this venue. We have attended friends events here and recently hosted our own a month ago. To my understanding, it’s under new ownership so I can only assume this is the issue.

Our event went great and we had no issues until it came to receiving our security deposit back. The venue was left clean as it was found and we shut down according to all of their specifications. We were told days after the event that our $500 had been refunded and it may take up to 14 business days to post, so we waited. More than the 14 days passed, so we reached out again. Something happened on their end? It’s never been clarified. Long story short - we finally saw a pending refund for $500 on 7/23( 3+ weeks after our event). Unfortunately, it dropped off of our account within a day or two and was nowhere to be found. Our bank told us that it was because they never finalized the refund. We reached out to management again and they said they would look into it. A few more days goes by, still nothing has posted or is pending in our account. They reach out to us this time to inquire if anything has come through. We send proof that nothing has. We were then informed that they would supply a handwritten check next week (8/5) if nothing posts. Great, sounded like a good plan. Well, this afternoon I am greeted with text messages/screen shots showing their end of the refund process, to which I respond with more proof that we still have not received said money. I was given a “too bad, so sad” kind of attitude when I was told “At this point, we have nothing to refund.” I’m not sure if they believe we are lying about receiving our money back or what, but we are very disappointed in how this whole process has evolved as we have been more than patient. Previous friends who have rented this venue received their refunds within a week following their event. I will revise and update this review by next week if our issue is resolved. Super cool place. I was a part of a training session that was held here, and I am intending to hold some of my own events here. The facilities are super cool with one of the nicest golf sims I've ever seen, a full kitchen, tons of seating, a bar, tons of parking...

The only drawbacks (and this might have just been our specific day) is that it was pretty cold in the building and there was QUITE A BIT of noise coming from outside the building to the point that it made it difficult to concentrate on our meetings and presentations. There was someone powerwashing stuff right outside the door so the noise was wafting in through the roll-up garage doors. There were a couple people complaining about fumes as well, likely from the gas-powered pressurewasher that was being run.

All in all, it's a great place and the pricing is pretty good from what I was told. I truly do plan on holding an event or two here, although I will be sure that it's not during the winter and that it's not too formal as the noise definitely detracted from the experience. For a party or mixer or something, I'm not sure of a better place...

I hate leaving poor reviews, because I know how important they can be to a business. However - We used this facility on 2/10/25, and have yet to hear a single word from anyone about our $500 deposit. The manager of my business has called twice and left a message. No call back. I have personally messaged twice on the website. We've not heard a word! The communication was just as poor, leading up to the day before our party. That day, I still had no directions as to how we get in, or have a tour of the facility. Thankfully I did get a call, and were able to figured that part out. At this point, I'm worried I may have been ripped off. I don't think it is reasonable to expect to run a business without customer service. Simply collecting money online isn't a good long-term plan. The place is quite expensive.
