Treaty Rock Elementary specifically is a terrible school for more reasons than I have time to list. They focus on discipline rather than education. The staff at the pickup line are absolutely childish and will do whatever it takes to make it difficult for a parent to get their child and go about their day. The principal will accuse your child before checking the camera or even ask your child what happened only leading to a later apology by her because she is always wrong. (Happened more than once) When you complain about not being notified about academics and performance (severe lack of transparency with how your child is doing), they blame the child. They only inform you of what's going on during the parent teacher conference long after there is an issue with academics. You go in thinking everything is good, only to leave with a knot in your throat...Then you constantly reach out to check on it and they say how well the child is doing to brush you off, only to make it to the next conference for it to be the complete opposite. In addition, my child just graduated and is now heading to middle school and I know he will struggle and was just pushed through. Its really disappointing and disgusting that a school is left to operate like this and I know from my neighbors that it is happening to so many children in our area. Some parents are lucky enough to get into other schools through waitlists but most are not able to. Then they get into the new school only to find out that important building blocks in most subjects are missing and they need to be re-taught things from lower grades. This school really needs a new principal who does a complete makeover on how things are done there. It should not be allowed to continue to operate and fail our children this way. There needs to be road blocks along the way to ensure children are not moving forward missing major building blocks to their education. If you are a parent in this situation, please reach out to the Boise Department of Education and make them aware. The Post Falls School District did nothing every single time I went in there. (Several times) It is the only way to get...
Read moreThis was once a great district. I have had family and friends (well their children) educated here. Unfortunetly, district office staff, most importantly the Superintendent, has changed and so has many policies, making this district mediocre at best. Most, if not all, seasoned staff have been harassed into leaving with a don't let the door hit you on the way out mentality. The veteran teachers that did not go with the new "teaching" policy. The policy of get the kids to pass by giving them the answers. The teachers that tried to help those who needed more, while keeping those that did not engaged. It has gone from being a school about your children to a Communist regime of spies, backstabbing, policy changes being made to prohibited whistle blowing, an inner circle getting ahead while the populous suffer. Namely, your children, their education, their future, your future, our Nation's future. I don't believe the children are our future. I KNOW. Right now, they are being let down. Our teachers are being let down. The future of teaching is being strangled into nothingness in this district. If you can, send you children to a different school district, as your children are not too priority here. The image of the Superintendent and district office staff is the...
