True Heroes
After waiting three weeks and making countless phone calls to get repairs to my new Whirlpool refrigerator, the repair company Whirlpool assigned said they were not coming. They proved to have 34 one-star reviews, however so I counted myself lucky.
I called Bill’s City Appliance Repair in Poulsbo to see if they could make the repairs. Jay encouraged me to contact Home Depot to get action rather than spend money with them, saying that they should make it right. I couldn’t’ even get anyone to answer the phone at Home Depot so I called Jay back.
Jay was wonderful. He arranged for Bill to come and make the repairs that day. A skilled technician, Bill efficiently addressed the problems, was easy to work with, friendly, and highly professional. I was even charged less than what was quoted to me on the phone. What really makes these two heroes, though, is that Jay, on his own, called Home Depot on my behalf, explained the nightmare I was having getting repair service for my new refrigerator, and gave them my information. I had a message from the store that very day.
The next day they called and had me send them a copy of Bill’s invoice for reimbursement and scheduled someone else to come to fix the one remaining issue on the appliance. Both Bill and Jay assured me that if the store didn’t make the required repair, they’d come out again and fix it. I have never had service like this from anyone.
They were wonderful! If you have problems with an appliance, Bill’s City Appliance Repair is the...
Read moreUnable to find our house because they wrote address down wrong came 5 hrs late. No big deal what ever. Asks for cash same day to look at dryer but gets a call later asking for payment. Heard nothing for about 1.5 wks so we reach out and was told they were waiting for a piece to fix it. Ok cool. Calls day of to make appointment with you (after 10:30) and if you’re not available that day, gets pushed out a week. Gave them different number to call since the one they were calling is usually unable to answer during their hours. They did not write the phone number down or they had poor communication and continued to call the wrong number and canceled appointment because the wrong number did not answer to confirm appointment. Second go at it, got the confirmation call to correct number, waited at home all day to get a voicemail saying they can’t fix it and they won’t be coming and good luck with no explanation (meanwhile dryer is still torn apart from when they came to “look at it”) called the next day for an explanation and was told they weren’t coming because we canceled too many appointments and they don’t know if the piece they got is actually going to fix our dryer or not. So after 1.5months of going back and forth with their miscommunication and working with their schedule. We have a even more broken dryer from them “looking”at it and out $300. Call...
Read moreBill's City Appliance Repair is AWESOME! My freezer stopped working, I called before they opened so I left a message before they opened. They got right back to me soon after opening and fit me in that day to come check it out (I live on Bainbridge Island). Bill explained my freezer's problem very clearly but with good details. He's VERY knowledgeable! He then gave me a good estimate of repair versus replacement, and Bill knew exactly which brands were made by whom, and which ones he saw the most trouble with. The cost of their service call and diagnosis was competitive for this area. I'm putting Bill's City Appliance Repair into my Contacts and will call them with all my appliance problems...
