Read moreGreat gardening store and nursery. I don't live very close to this store but occasionally make the trip because it has so much more than our local nurseries. They have a ton of trees, succulents, vegetables, herbs, landscaping plants, and even unique plants that I don't see too often, like Angel's Trumpet. Bonsai, or water plants for ponds.
A main motivator of my drive, though, is that they have a fairly large selection of California native and drought tolerant plants. Each plant has great information, not just about size and care but about the importance to wildlife or native people.
I don't find their herb or vegetable selection to be as large as some other nurseries, but they do have way more trees than other places.

My kids favorite area is the train. They have an amazing train set at this location, and they even decorate it for the holidays! The train conductors/operators are so friendly and seems to genuinely enjoy visiting with the kids who come.
And bonus, they had a Totoro inspired scavenger hunt...
