-Update- If you enjoy paying $250 fees that you didn’t agree to in your lease. The Mill is for you. If you enjoy a lack of professionalism: the mill is for you If you love people and treat them all to dinner, confirm things are cleaned to standard, and then receive a bill for a mess that wasn’t yours: the mill is for you. Will not refer anyone to live here. Apartments are aesthetically nice. But management is horrific. The wife and kids absolutely love it here! The building has been wonderfully redone in a modern way that retains historic charm. The Mills common areas are outfitted to bring residents of all ages together for some good old fashioned fun. Grounds and amenities are meticulously maintained. Have not seen anything out of spec. Last but not least, the staff has been warm and welcoming from day 1. We had some uncertainty with move in date; but The Mill had made accommodations and kept their word to the T. It’s safe to say I love this place and the wonderful community we now call home.

I live in the first building 110. The events going on almost every weekend not only keep me and my husband awake but also keep me from parking. Guests take the residents parking spots and nothing is done about it. It has been admitted to me that insulation is not good here. Our electric bill is close to $400 per month. That on top of the high rent has had us looking for a house for months. We finally found one but have to pay the full 6 months to get out of the lease. The year here has been awful. There are so many animals that I can hear barking and even cats meowing in other apartments. All hours of the night. It's cold and drafty. We get no sleep here. Pet poo has been a problem in walking areas as well. The staff has been very friendly and the apartments are cute but not worth the price.

Editing my review. I did love it here. But we disagreed with a fine. Since then, anything they can fine you for, they will. Can’t wait to move. $100 for potentially causing spillage from trash bag not in container. Quite a hefty fine for a mistake. We’ve also had a $60 fee for trash being left out when they sent an email that it was cancelled. An email when I have 2 small children and don’t check personal emails throughout the day.

The property is beautiful—super clean, well-kept, and really peaceful. It has that perfect mix of modern living with a cozy, comfortable vibe that makes it feel like home.

Prattville is such a great town, too. It’s got that small-town charm where people are friendly and welcoming, but there’s still plenty to do—great restaurants, shopping, and outdoor spots nearby.

But the real highlight here is the staff. They’re amazing—always helpful, quick to respond, and genuinely care about the residents. From Sherri in the office to maintenance, everyone goes above and beyond. It’s clear they take pride in making this a great place to live.

If you’re thinking about moving to the area or just want a fresh start in a great community, I highly recommend checking...
