The theater has been here for a very long time. I’ve seen photos from the 1950s and there the theater is. There was a bigger theater by the mall that was torn down and is now a parking area. I’m glad they reopened this theater. For awhile there was no theater at all. The Braden was boarded up unused and just there. Then they decided to reopen a historic theater and that in and of itself took a lot of planning and ambition and I’m so glad they did. so many small town theaters are like the Braden was, boarded up and unused but now it’s lights are on the screens are bright the marquee lit up and it’s back to its glory days and It’s the perfect size and location for a smaller town. And they upgraded to digital which is even better. No worries about the film breaking mid film. Am I the only one who remembers this happening?
It’s cozy and nice. And cheap. People complain about the price I heard. Perspective here. Where else can you go see a movie have popcorn a drink and a candy for under 20$ that’s just the price of admission in some theaters. So honestly it’s great for what you are getting a fun night out see the latest movie and snacks too.
I really enjoy the refills on sodas too. I have never seen a theater where you can have unlimited refills and you can get them yourself which is even better. So if you’re like me and like to mix it up a bit. A little coke a little something else. It’s your choice. The popcorn is good and they provide special flavor topping. Salt and vinegar, cheese, ranch. Another perk.
So is there anything to complain about well no. Unless you consider getting to see a movie, popcorn, drinks, snacks all for the price of just a single admission at most theaters and on top of that friendly staff a bad thing. All in all a great theater to watch the latest movie, perfect size for the town.
Looking for a cheap, fun thing to do? Well, why not gather the family together and go see a movie. You’ll be...
Read moreMy husband and I went to see a movie for our date night on Saturday. Unfortunately, too many ignorant people including some Millennial wouldn't keep their mouths shut during the length of the movie. Others wouldn't stay off their phones even though there are signs saying to do so. My husband had to say something to them after listening to them through half of the movie. There should be monitors or someone in the theaters to make sure ignorant people aren't ruining the movie for everyone else. Not going...
Read moreThe good ol reliable Braden! They do a great job working with what they've got having survived a pandemic and people who don't go to the movies quite like they used to, all the while dealing with people who don't want to work quite like they used to! lol
They've made some upgrades over the years and no doubt more a head. The staff and owner are always friendly. They're prices are BEYOND reasonable. Even the popcorn and candy!
We Love Our small town theater and are so grateful...
