Sargent Family Community Center — Local services in Presque Isle

This is a great place for family and friends. It is free to the public and a great place for kids birthday parties. There is a large gym with a full basketball court and track around it for anyone who wabts to get their laps in. You must bring a pair of non slip clean gym shoes to change into in order to use the gym. There is a large locker room and bathroom for changing. They have two other rooms as well one as you walk in on the right which is mostly used for private parties and one on the left called the teen room. You have to be at least a 6th grader to use the teen room. The teen room has several tables and chairs, aprox. 30 board games located in the cabinets near the two tv's and two couches, there are also two xbox's. There is a hockey "foosball" game which cost 50cents to play and a ping pong table. The ping pong balls are right next to the table and cost 25 cents a piece. It's a nice building, but they dont really have a lot of activities considering it's the rec center for the area. They seem to focus a lot on the senior center part of it. From what I saw they have TVs, a pool table and small kitchen in that area. They also have a gym and video game room. When they first opened they had fitness classes that people could take, but those have seen to have disappeared. Now all they have is open gym and pick up basketball games. Very disappointing since the tax payers had to finance the building and it doesn't really benefit the community...

Beautiful, brand new facility on the southside of Presque Isle just off the main drag. Very spacious with a separate area for Youth and senior citizens to enjoy their own private areas spring activities and different activities that are age-appropriate. Large dance room with full length mirror that we frequently use with our daughter. Big gym and walking track. Plenty of rest room facilities and family-friendly. And...
