Tried to pickup a Tears of the Kingdom plaque today. I was told by the staff that they only received 60 of them, which didn't even cover the over 100 actual in store pre-orders. If that is the case then what are all the people who shipped to home supposed to do? This review is not directed at this location, however it is directed at Gamestop as a whole. You create a special item that is for people who pre-ordered only, make it first come first serve, then you don't even send out enough to cover at least half of that locations/areas orders. I was on the phone with support and was on hold for over an hour. At the end of it all the best suggestion they could give me was to call around and hopefully find a store that has some. Then I would need to try to race over to get one. The nearest Gamestop is 25 minutes from me. This almost makes me never want to use Gamestop again. I pre-ordered from you specifically for the plaque. I drove straight from work to get it, only to find out they are out. So today, I wasted trying to get a plaque, wasted nearly 2 hours on the phone with no solution from support other than waste more time and gas trying to find one. My game didn't come in the mail today like it was supposed to, the mail truck has come and gone. I have no was to actually track my game because your system was not able to handlethe amount of orders it received. USPS says they have no update from you either... so I guess I don't get to play. You...
Read moreUpon walking in store was clean.. there was one staff member approached for a exchange for store credit was looking to buy new game system and games but wanted to see what my son had in store credit first.. the staff member had no knowledge of how to exchange game head phone and instead told us we would have to wait for another team member which would be 20 mins because she didn’t know knowledge of how to exchange them(remember for later) staff member began to look and test items... and even had to go into the back to get knowledge of certain items.. couldn’t find others so I went and took her the same item off the floor to help... after a while of not being able to locate items we were told that while they were in the store for sale both new and new.. that she couldn’t take the item because she couldn’t locate the EXACT item in the computer.. I proceeded to show her where I found it online on the GameStop website.. she then told us well she “didn’t have to take any trade ins” so I asked to speak to the manager.. she then informed me that she was the manager.. so the manager of the store doesn’t have knowledge of basic trade ins and has to refer to a co worker for help? She was completely unprofessional and didn’t have knowledge of her own system.. so we took our items and buisness else where.. will never use that store again.. oh and her name is Leslie.. so we were told but.. then again she also said she...
Read moreNot all of the employees are rude, but one of the employees named Coltin needs to work on being more professional and treat customers with more respect. He made a dumb joke that came off as disrespectful when we walked in about my wife. She accidentally hit me with the door so, my wife said “sorry” to me & I guess Coltin overheard my wife say “sorry” to me & Coltin said “she’s not sorry! ” as soon as we walked in the door, which came off as disrespectful to us. Say “Welcome in”, don’t say some dumb joke dude. Please speak to your customers with more respect, this is your job, not everyone wants to hear your stupid jokes. Save it for home or the playground. As for the return policy, I would like to say that a 7-Day return/exchange policy is unreasonable especially considering that this GameStop location is selling faulty Xbox controllers. I guess they like to profit off of warranties. Just go to Walmart across the street if you want better controllers and better...
