WORST CHIPOTLE I'VE EVER BEEN TO. And I've been a Chipotle customer since 2003, when I went to my first location in Midtown New York City. I HAVE BEEN TO HUNDREDS OF CHIPOTLE LOCATIONS across the United States (New York, New Haven, Chicago, Wichita, McKinney and many more). Oh my gosh, this was an awful experience. THE WORST. And it's surprising because the location is brand new.
I went on the evening of Saturday, 12/9/23. The first Saturday this location has been open. I chose to dine in--no app or online order--and paid cash. The following things were (or went) wrong:
1--Right off the bat (right when I walked in the door), another customer was extremely rude and said in a nagging tone, "SIR, THE LINE STARTS 'THERE'!" (pointing). I had literally just walked in the door and was getting my bearings. AND THEY WERE IN FRONT OF ME.
2--THE FRONT DOOR WAS LOCKED... EVEN THOUGH THE RESTAURANT/DINING ROOM WAS OPEN! At 8:00 PM. Someone had to let me in. (It was not the customer mentioned above.) I'm sure the locked door violates some kind of fire code!
3--The extremely rude customer, who was directly in front of me in line, got chips, but when I asked for chips, CHIPOTLE REFUSED TO GIVE ME CHIPS. The cashier said, "We're reserving chips for ONLINE ORDERS ONLY."
4--NO ONE ASKED IF I WAS DINING IN OR WANTED MY FOOD TO-GO. I was, in fact, dining in, but they did not offer me a tray to put my food and drink on. (They do have trays. There were many stacked up at the trash cans.)
5--THE FOUNTAIN DRINK MACHINE (self-serve in the dining room) WAS BROKEN. It was not dispensing Diet Coke. When I asked for a refund of my $3.25 drink charge, the cashier (same one who wouldn't give me CHIPS) initially refused--instead, they sent an employee to "go check the machine" to see if I was telling the truth! THEY DIDN'T EVEN OFFER ME WATER--I had to eat my meal/burrito without a drink!
6--The dining room is small with hardly any good seating--WHY DID THEY BOTHER? It forces customers in the line to crowd around tables while people are eating! Not fun!
7--The dining room (and whole interior) was dirty, a pig sty. Garbage overflowing out of the trash cans.
8--I HAD TO TELL THE EMPLOYEE WHO MADE MY BURRITO WHICH MEAT IS/WAS THE PORK/CARNITAS! THEY DID NOT KNOW!
9--$18.89 FOR ONE BURRITO AND A DRINK! IN PRINCETON, TEXAS!
10--Their general DISRESPECT for a dine-in, cash customer on their opening weekend!
It was just generally a horrible experience. I AM NOT GOING BACK TO THIS LOCATION. And I live down the street (within walking distance) of it! Moreover, I don't see how this location will stay in business in this market (Princeton, Texas) with the kind of prices they're charging... not especially when there are at least six (6) other taco/Mexican quick-serve restaurants in town.
If they do go,...
Read moreUpdate 2023-12-16: I really hate to have to update the review like this when this place hasn't even been open a month, but it seems like whoever was there for training and opening the store might not be there anymore.
I went to this location a second time about a week ago, and while things weren't stocked (not a single napkin, etc), the food was okay-enough and I just assumed they were shorthanded.
Went again Dec 16th, and man has this place degraded fast. They still take a while to move the line, but it wasn't as long as when they were first opening.
However the food quality has gotten, BAD. It's like they just want the food to "look" ok but don't actually care about properly prepping it. The chicken was absolutely terrible. There was something weird mixed in with the tomatillo sauce that threw off the flavor. And despite going around lunchtime on a Saturday, the rice tasted sort of crunchy/grainy.
To top it off, there was a hair after I was about 1/3rd the way through the burrito. I see after the fact that another reviewer complained about a hair, but this one was shorter and white, maybe blond.
I've only gotten food at this location 3 times. Being new doesn't excuse the...
Read moreI was really disappointed with this location today. I ordered through the app for the chipotlane pickup, which is usually pretty good. But today, I pulled up and was ignored for quite a bit. After they finally came, they threw the wrong order at me and shut the window. I had to flag them down from inside my car, and point out to them which one was mine because they “couldn’t find it”. Once I got the food home, there was a lot wrong. My bowl had about 1 tablespoon of rice and my carnitas was 80% fat chunks instead of meat. The kids meal I ordered had an uncooked quesadilla and almost no rice. I also had an order of queso which was upside down and spilling in the bag. I didn’t have time to go back in for a refund or for them to fix the order. On top of that, the website and app makes it impossible to ask for a refund. I really wish I didn’t have to give them such a bad review, but this is really...
