I went to DQ tonight to grab some of our favorite treats for myself and the kids. Not something we get to do often..
My order was only ice creams and treats. First, at the speaker box while ordering- before even completing a sentence i was continually asked "is that it?" Taking my order seemed to be a huge inconvenience, but whatever, its been a long day im sure.. so i continued onward. Despite being the only person in line and no customers inside... i also knew exactly what we wanted and did not need to look at the menu. I was quick on the ordering..
At the window, i was handed my treats (which was $36 btw) and i asked if i had everything, i was told yes, and left. Made it home (less than a mile away) to find my banana split was not present.. the main reason for going.
So Again, i remind myself, i have worked many years in fast food and i understood. I was not upset..
I pull up to the speakerbox, and again this time, im the only person there.. i tell them i am missing my banana split, i just left. They tell me "well do you have a receipt?" Which i did..
I get to the window and the reciept is snatched from my hand and nothing is said to me. The young girl shows the reciept to someone else and they begin huffing, puffing, eye rolling, the works. They eventually hand me the banana split, i say "thank you" and smile, to which she slams the window as hard as she could! Never said a word.
Then i get home to find the banana split is nothing but ice cream and banana, none of the dressings were present. No nuts, nada.
Management is lacking at this location and the overall morale of the stuff shows it. I...
Read moreHow long should someone wait in the drive-thru line waiting for their order when asked to pull forward so the expeditor can give out ither orders? A). 1 hour B). 3 minutes C). 10+ minutes D). None of the above Well, the answer was C. We waited a little over (10) ten minutes for an XL Chili Dog with Jalito Fries with Root Beer (the Combo) and an order of 3 piece cheesesticks.
We watched as (4) four other vehicles behind us received their orders before us. When I got out of my vehicle and entered the store to inquire about the delay, there was no one behind the counter, but I saw a couple of employees goofing off in the kitchen area. I then saw one employee head outside with what I assumed was my order. It was. She seemed apologetic, but I still think there was no excuse for the long wait. Regardless of the wait time, my Chili Dog was good, and I enjoyed the Jalito Fries. The wait time not so much. UPDATE; 4/11/2025 - sat in the drive-thru order kiosk for approximately 10 minutes after the time they said they were open 11a.m. until I saw a DQ employee walking into work with a Whataburger bag and drink. I was convinced to go to...
Read moreHoping in time they'll get in rhythm but 2 separate experiences and the food was not good...at all. My burger had the texture as if it sat under a heat lamp and the cheese wasnt melted. My daughter had the chicken tenders and they were cold. The ice cream blizzards were decent enough for me to come back. I really hope they figure the food out...and soon.
UPDATE 04/28/2019 - So the family and I was out and decided we would get blizzards. I pulled up to the speaker and no one said anything. There were 2 cars in front of me so I waited (exactly 6 minutes later) after I said "hellooooo" the woman/girl on the speaker VERY RUDELY said "Yes"...as if I was bothering her. I laughed it off and begin making 1 of 4 orders and before I could finish my sentence she cut me off and said "What else"...while i was mid sentence. I told her never mind and drove off. We'll continue to go to Andy's in McKinney if we have a craving for ice cream. IM DONE with this terribly...
