We have been using Miya products for years. Not only are the bowls pleasing to the eye but positively influences the experience of the food we eat :) These bowls are super durable as we wash them at least once a day in the dishwasher with detergent pacs , sometimes twice, for the past three years and they have still retained that high gloss finish. Some of the other "made in Japan" tableware we have bought at Home Goods have developed a matte finish (from the finish breaking down) inside the bowls and cups which had to be thrown out.
