I don't know how to describe the people that work at the store and the lady that owns it in a small paragraph because they are also unique and so absolutely wonderful they're very knowledgeable about all aspects of the different animals that I've ever asked them about ... we have a dog and two cats ... We also have tropical fish and we have pet rats . They have been very helpful .... Whether I was looking for toys for my pet rats , dog food , cat food..... toys for them if they're weren't feeling well possibly worm medicine and flea medicine which they have this awesome flea medicine is all natural and it works It smells good and it's not poisonous but it kills fleas and I love it and they introduced me to it They also introduced me to CBD which I use for my dog for fireworks cuz she is so scared to death of that stuff They have helped me out with ideas on what to do with my pet rats because I have this one that has a problem with bathing butthe rest doing bathing are just fine. all our pet rats are are litter trained .... they've been so helpful whether that needed help with the rats , the dog , the cats or the tropical fish and they do carry products for all those now I know they carry products for other animals as well and t-shirts and cups and just everything They have a nice variety and if they don't have it they can get it and they always let me know straight up the front how much it is before they order ..... I'm extremely happy with this pet store.... It seems like they're always getting new toys for the rats well they get a new toys for birds too and I shop in the birds section also . They have a nice section it's all kind of together but yeah absolutely And then they have a a small animal section which I stopped in that section too for my rats They have a cat section cat toys dog toys oh my gosh you just name it they have it ... I just love them Let me see what did I buy last time I bought toys for the rats and some of the flea medicine... peppermint or spearmint but the one ounce bottle so we could try it out see they liked it cuz we have the lemongrass right now in the lemongrass is really nice Good smelling to kills fleas is really awesome and I tested a small amount of it on my rat one of my rats and watched her very closely made sure she was okay because it does have a little bit of cedar in it and I actually even called the company about that though just to make sure and the company was absolutely adamant that it was safe for my rats and to still just test the weed bed on him just to make sure you know cuz you always have that one that's allergic because you know you can't put cedar or pine chips in with a rat home because the natural stuff in cedar will kill your rat and so will pine That's why you got to get everything that's perfume free die free No cedar no pine you can do Aspen though thank goodness but anyway they have a whole bunch of new toys in this week for rats and birds and I didn't get a chance to go over in the birds or the cat section to check but I wouldn't doubt they have new stuff there too well here I am rambling I just wanted you to know how wonderful these people are and the lady that owns it Brenda she's awesome too and the store I love it was well stocked it's clean it's easy to navigate they just got all around good stuff I have absolutely everything wonderful to say about this store...

Lovely store and staff! The staff is always kind, knowledgeable, and all have a love for animals. It’s always fun to come and see all the new cat toys/products and see the cats in the store. About a year & half ago I found a kitten on the Cross Valley as I was driving my car. Weighed less then a pound and deaf. I brought him into the store for help and I will always remember a staff member that was very helpful. I ended up keeping him but she was a big help at the time. I just wanted to say I’m sad that Toby is gone. I just found out today. He meant so much to the community. I know his disease is very painful, but despite all he had going on he was always very friendly and loving. He was very inspirational to the community. He is truly a wonderful little soul that has touched many hearts. He will be missed and I’m praying for healing for the staff because I know that has to be rough. I have been shopping at Village Pet since Brenda opened started shopping in the Hanover Township store since they closed. I work near the Luzerne store. The people that work there are incredible. They’re super nice friendly and my schnauzer absolutely loves his skinny minis. I get them all the time they’re usually always in stock. I wish people knew how bad treats are in grocery stores and other places most treats have corn wheat and soy in them, which most dogs and cats are allergic to and red dye, which is terrible.
