I am very upset that this is a review I have to write as this business is a local salon in my town. I have given this salon many of chances and today was my breaking point. My first time visiting this salon I saw a stylist that took over 4 1/2 hours to do my hair. The 2nd time my hair was yellow and yet again over 4 1/2 hrs. (This stylist is no longer employed there) So I took a break for a while then recently chose to give it another try with a new stylist (Ali). My 1st apt with her was great as Iām sure my 2nd would have been also, but that appointment never happened. As they called me at 4pm the night before and canceled my apt stating she was out sick. Mind you I talked to them at 12:30 that same day on the phone confirming my apt. I was told she left in the am of this same day when they called to cancel my appointment at 4pm ( Very frustrating, however I understand people get sick especially in todayās world) butā¦upon the receptionist calling me to cancel less than 24 hours ( outside of their requested cancelation policy for me to cancel) she stated they couldnāt accommodate for me to come in but she could offer me a apt almost a month out! The 29th to be exact. Huh?!?! I just waited almost a month for this apt since she was booked out! She then stated āya with the holidays she is just slammed, Iām sorryā, Ummmmmmm, ya exactly why itās important for me to get in as I have holiday engagements that require me to not look like a āhalfway skunkā, and Iāve waited a month almost for this apt. Not mention I took the day off work to accommodate her busy schedule that couldnāt get me in on a non working time. There was no care and or concern given, it just was what it was. āSorry!ā Well sorry this will be my last attempt to support this local business which is something I find joy in, I will go elsewhere. I also find it funny as before I chose to write a review which I was not going to. It came to my attention that another review was written 3 weeks ago on this same situation and same stylist. Hmmmmmmm odd. So I felt my review needed to be heard. The response from the owner appears to be a private but stated possible covid sickness ( which again happens) but, I am not aware of Covid happening 2x in 3 weeks. Not to imply what or what isnāt the cause of the cancelation but between the review response and my conversation with the receptionist stating āya, sheāll be out for the whole rest of the weekā it just seems very suspicious and is not sitting well with me. I will say this does not reflect on the overall business as their are many stylist here, but the owner needs to prepare better for these multiple unforeseen circumstances. I wish the best to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never written a bad review but I think some things must be said. I moved here about three months ago. I was looking for a stylist and was recommended to Mel. I heard amazing things about her and was excited to do my hair. She was fully booked for a month but I was willing to wait. I took time off work to get my hair done. On the day of my appointment I got called from the salon saying that Mel was not going to be available. They asked if I can reschedule or that I can go with another stylist. Due to me not having a flexible schedule I decided to go in. The girl that did my hair was very nice, however, my hair did not turn out what I was looking for. Honestly, seem like nothing was done to it. The stylist that was suppose to do my hair showed up about an hour later and didnāt even acknowledge that I was there. She checked me out and nothing was said about her not taking my appointment. I know things happen, life happens but the way the things were handle was very unprofessional. It looks to me they donāt want my business so going forward I will be going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to see Cora to get my hair done, specifically asking to return to my natural color ā a dark brunette. Instead, she only did a few foils, which resulted in unwanted caramel highlights. When I went back to have it corrected, she admitted that she had mixed up my appointment with another Sofia, leading to the mistake and completely butchering my hair.
Rather than offering a refund or properly fixing it, she applied a toner that washed out the very next day. Now Iām stuck with caramel highlights I never wanted ā and I paid $250 for this. Imagine spending $250 and hours of your life just to end up with the complete opposite of what you asked for. Itās like going in asking for black hair and walking out blonde ā only to be told, "Oops, you're out of luck."
Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Go to someone else who isnāt...
