Terrible customer service experience. So, my parents have a washer that was not working. They took it here at M&K and my parents were told nothing was wrong with the washer, it was ran about 5 cycles and was charged $25. Well they decided to purchase new washer/dryer set and provide me with this set. When we move them in, the washer was still doing the same thing as before it was sent to M&K. Now M&K sends a "service tech" if you even want to go that far as to call him that. The guy used google to try and diagnos the washer. Mind you i had done this already amd knew more about this washer than he did at this point and still do. So he says it needs a new interface for $163 for the part plus labor. And because ot wasnt fixed the first time he took off the $25 from the first charge. So we say thats alot of money we need time to decide if we want to pay that much. I find the user interface for $68 replace it myself and washer does not work still, so i take it off and return it for a refund. Now knowing its not the interface, we call M&K back out. The same guy returns, replaces the interface, i watch him try it and doesnt work. He does and gets a $30 part, the door locking assembly, replaces that, and it works. This guy first tries to deny he came out the first time ( his name on the paperwork) then refuses to take off the new interface and try the washer with the original interface and new locking assembly. If had not watched him put that interface on, he would have lied and said it was that just to get 160 dollars more. So over a $30 part and a want-to-be service tech, M&K will lose business, bad for business, bad customer service. Now I will be fixing the washer with the $30 part. And definitely not pay 200 something dollars to this place that lies to its customers. Everyone save your money and use youtube to watch videos on how to fix it yourself, you will be surprised how...
Read moreThe staff here is very efficient and knowledgeable. At the beginning of November, I was able to get a fuse to fix my dryer that I had struggled to locate anywhere else within minutes of arriving at M & K. Unfortunately the fuse blew the first time it was used but I was unsure if it was a dud or had blown. I brought the fuse in to be tested after speaking to the owner Richard over the phone, and even though it had shown to be blown and not defective, Richard was incredibly kind and replaced the fuse for me at no additional charge when I absolutely should have paid then took the time to explain why the fuse had blown and how to fix it. There are so few businesses nowadays that genuinely care about their customers and go the extra mile to help take care of them and this is definitely one. They've got my business for life and my recommendation to any and everyone I know that mentions anything about appliances...
Read moreOrder and paid for a new refrigerator and stove on Dec 10th, as of Feb 24th I still did not have them. When my old refrigerator died this morning I went to the location in Proctorville and ask for a refund so I could purchase the items elsewhere. REFUSED A REFUND by Richard, who is the owner I assume. My husband became upset, and we decided it might be best to get a lawyer and told this to Richard and left, before we got home Richard called and said come back for your refund. When we drive all the way back he offers us a partial refund only, and says we have to pay his credit card processing fee and a restock???? Is it my responsibility to pay his business fees???? And restock what, nothing ever came???My husband and I feel like he stole our money! We have done business there for years, and I have recommended this place to countless people....
