Wonderful group of budtenders that are very helpful and super friendly. Have had great experiences with everybody who’s checked me out. Here’s a quick rundown of what you should and shouldn’t avoid, in case you’re new to rec, because there was a lot of trial and error understanding which brands were worth it and which ones you should steer clear altogether!

Circa Oct. 2025:

Best Resin/Rosin Carts: Certified, Rythm, Cresco These 3 brands get the majority of my flowers for wax consistency and quality. Don’t even bother with other live carts unless their reputation proceeds them. The balance to strike with live carts is purity versus price.

Worst resin/rosin carts: Klutch rosin tasted moldy, Edie Parker is a cesspool for ignorant girly girls —all marketing—do not ingest this company’s products, full stop. Furthermore, many will argue that Buckeye live resin is good too, but I’ve had 3 separate carts from buckeye, with two of the three disposables I had tasting very burnt about halfway through.

Best distillate carts: Firelands scientific has quality extracts for the best price in Ohio, in my experience. Not the most potent company, overall, but every cart I’ve had from them tastes pure and without a bunch of vape juice or solvents added. Additionally, Certified’s distillate carts are very very good and have been a bit stronger for me than Firelands—but that comes at the cost of Certified carts tasting like vape juice of course—so who knows what’s really in those in particular, but they get the job done.

Worst distillate carts: The Lab. Do not touch the lab. Curing distillate was the dumbest experience my lungs have ever been through bro. The lab cart I had hit like delta 8 in the worst way imaginable—virtually no canna flavor and I had a consistent cough from it after the cart was about halfway through. DO NOT BUY THE LAB. Additionally, avoid Buckeye disposables, as I had a similarly crappy experience with the flavoring and a cough that was almost as bad. Basically, if the distillate price is too good to be true—it almost always is. I would also insist on people avoiding Certified’s disposables, because although their extracts are typically pretty good, their disposable batteries suck eggs and will burn your wax after a day of use! Happened to me twice.

Bud: Find, Cresco, Wellspring, Cookies, Certified, basically anything they have that is flower grade is good flower in my limited experience with Sunnyside bud. You want to follow the same guidelines with wax that you would with bud. If they’re offering you a half of shake for 60 dollars, it could be amazing, or it could be dry as hell. Sale bud is almost always a little older, so more dry, and less flavor. But then again, I’ve gotten a half of some India dominant cookies smalls strain once for like 70 dollars and I was twisted for a week! You cannot hide the quality with flower, like you can with wax or edibles. Flower quality is pure merit, so if the company has crappy bud, you can assume that their extracts, edibles, et cetera, will be of a similar quality tier. My one scrap of advice is to mind the Michigan brands (I’m looking at you, Klutch) because they will charge your ass out the ying yang for that High Times name recognition.

I visited Sunnyside this past weekend, and while I understand it can get busy, my experience was really disappointing. When I asked for help choosing products based on terpene profiles and my specific medical needs and any recommendations , I was told the staff were too busy to assist. Yet, just a few feet away, employees were casually chatting with other customers instead of helping those who were waiting for guidance.

If your staff is too busy to assist medical patients, then at least provide detailed terpene profiles and product information somewhere whether in-store or on your website. Many people come here for medical reasons and rely on accurate terpene and cannabinoid data to choose products that actually help with things like pain, anxiety, or sleep. Right now, the website only lists the strain name and THC percentage, and even that isn’t always accurate. There’s no real terpene chart nothing that shows the actual breakdowns (like 3.4% myrcene or 4% beta-caryophyllene) — so customers have no idea what they’re really getting. You might think you’re buying something to help you sleep, but without that data, you could end up with a strain that does nothing for you.

It might also help to improve the flow of service for example, instead of having patients wait 15 minutes at the counter for their orders to be filled, let them step aside while other customers are checked out. That would make things move faster and make the experience smoother for everyone.

Overall, it was disappointing to feel dismissed and unsupported, especially at a dispensary that promotes itself as medical. A little more organization, patient focus, and transparency both in-store and online would make a huge difference for those of us who truly rely on these products for wellness.

What’s even more frustrating is that this doesn’t seem to be a one-time issue. I’ve seen plenty of similar complaints in other reviews, and nothing appears to change. It feels like management just replies with a generic message asking for feedback but never actually fixes the problems.
