I was there about a week ago. Admittedly, I showed up 15 minutes before closing time. I was looking for a specific piece of hardware. Austin was working that night and came over to help me. We couldn't find the piece I was looking for. He then helped me find a similar piece. But it was a little small, the needed holes anyway. He then took the time to , by hand , drill out the holes to meet my specifications. Rarely in my experience have I ever received such genuine, helpful, positive customer service. I wanted to take this opportunity to say how impressed I was with him. I'm hoping his boss reads this and know what a great employee he/she has working for them Please promote him immediately.

I dropped off two chains for a modest sharpening. The older gentleman who has historically done this service is now gone.
The younger male associate who performed the service doesn't seem to be trained. Both chains were blunted at 90 degree angles (kind of hard to do) .
When I returned to the store to have the chains correctly sharpened, the associate informed me of the personnel change and said 'sorry' for my bad luck and didn't try to correct the issue.
Gordon's is a premium priced store so one would expect premium service. That is why I have historically chosen Gordon's.

   Read moreI went to this Ace Hardware this morning. I had phoned in some supplies and went to pick up 18 miles away. When I got there I met Justin and another employee who's name I didn't catch. This part is for you Gordon....Justin is exactly not only what business needs but what the world needs. He was busy working and stopped what he was doing to help a complete stranger solve my problem. Being in retail myself I can appreciate great customer service....my friend not only should this be celebrated but appreciated. ..oh and by the way I offered to buy him lunch or something to drink....he refused and only asked for a review....this speaks to his character and his integrity.....So thank you Justin.
