We incurred an expenditure of $6K on equipment that was recommended as NECESSARY by Doug Evans and his company, Components to have my sound system (McIntosh/Martin Logan) and Control4 system in working order.

Over the course of more than a year, Components, Gilbert, AZ, was engaged to execute this project, during which considerable investments ($$$$) were made to ensure its success. In other words, we bought everything that Component’s suggested since they were the experts. Right?

Regrettably, upon hosting a dinner event this past weekend and encountering persistent technical difficulties with the audio-visual setup, we sought the expertise of Audio Plus of Prescott, a trusted entity with whom we have a longstanding professional relationship since they have been working on the stereo, tv, internet, system in our Prescott home for the last 10 years. Their thorough evaluation revealed redundancies in the system totaling a significant sum ($6K of worthless equipment) that they did not need to use; to make my new Scottsdale system "work”.

Upon addressing this matter with Doug Evans, the proprietor/owner of ComponentsAZ, we were met with a dismissive and patronizing demeanor, rather than the professional and respectful treatment one would expect from a business of their caliber. We are saddened by this.

In light of these circumstances, we are compelled to caution prospective clients against hiring Components, as our recent experience suggests a potential risk of exploitation.

In other words, if you want to be ripped off, feel free to use Components but don't say you...
