Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Queen Creek

Not usually one to post a negative review, but this Coldstone was definitely sub-par. I went in 2 nights in a row, and each night the employees were sloppily dressed, no apron, no visor, only about half of them had their name tags. The employees didn't have the covers on the Ghea, and almost all the Ice Cream was mushy and soft beyond the point of enjoyable. The second night we went in there was a middle-aged man working, I assume the franchise owner, wearing a plain T-shirt and shorts, a very unprofessional vibe. We went for a shake this time, and the employee didn't even offer whipped cream on it, or anything, AND the shake was only about 3/4 of the way full. Last time I will ever go to this store. A few nights later we tried a Coldstone up on Val Vista and Baseline and I had ZERO complaints.

I ordered a birthday cake for my 5yo son and picked up the day before the party. The cake was not at all as pictured online. He specifically chose the cake because the picture online showed the sides completely covered in sprinkles (his favorite!); however, when we picked up the cake, there were barely any sprinkles on the cake. The description even states "topped with rainbow sprinkles" and there were hardly any sprinkles on the cake. The employee up front, was kind, but unable to help or offer a solution. Since it was the day before the party and the business opens after the party would start, I couldn't send it back to have it fixed. My son was understandably disappointed. I went in 3 days before my daughters birthday to order a custom cake she specifically requested and was SOOOO excited for!! They assured me it would be ready for pickup at 12pm on her birthday. I got there at 1pm that day, and there was no cake. The girls working there couldn’t get ahold of the cake decorator either to find out why, but now we have no cake for my daughters birthday party that she really really wanted. It honestly really sucks and is not fair to her at all. I’m very upset that this happened this way and would strongly caution ANYONE ordering a custom cake from this store to either go somewhere else, or have a backup plan so your kids birthday isn’t ruined.
