Lids — Local services in Queenstown

Lid’s is the worst company as far as treating managers like they should. I was left to open a new location on my own all day everyday for a year until they even brought me speakers for music in the store. We employees supplied the music the way the store was decorated or major moves all on me and one other part time manager. I did this for a year then a new regional manager comes for the first time ever in the history of the store it was all me, fires me on the spot saying my hours didn’t match!!!! Even though I was the only employee they had so, of course, my hours would be way more than anyone else’s. I said that store completely up with no help from Lids management and was let go two weeks after Christmas right after their huge rush. I’ve been to this location twice in the past week. They were closed on a Saturday (1/29/2022) nobody was there at around 1p.m. and nobody came before close. On 2/2/2022 I showed up again to purchase some jerseys and hats at 6:58p.m. The doors were locked. Allegedly the store representative that was inside said that they have different hours than broadcast on their website and google. They said they closed the register already and the doors an hour early. They also told me they were closed on Saturday because “nobody was at the outlets.” It’s a shame that Lids is letting this group down their franchise and cost them money. I sat outside and wrote this review from 7:12 pm until now. Store lights where on until now 7:16. This is crazy custome service and experience....

I've been coming here for years and have definitely seen a major change in how the store looks and the new management. the store always looked like my son's bedroom before i tell him to clean it, I use to come in and see the manager sitting on a ladder and pay no attention to me and was very unprofessional. always seam to be bothered that I asked him a question, but now I am greeted and given information on sales and very helpful. I'm so glad to see the improvements in personal and store, glad to see someone recognized what was the problem with this store and fixed it. I just want to keep coming back to see what my next...
