Heading home to NoVa from Ocean City, this time we finally checked out the outlet mall. On a whim we decided to check out this sushi place and it was a great experience! We sat down at a table and were not expecting to be able to order food with our phones and have it delivered to our table with a conveyer belt, but despite the order interface having some rough edges (could not see a way to go back and view what we ordered, and it was slightly unclear what the best way was to order more items after the initial round), it was a very positive experience! Food came out very quickly and a server provided us with generous portions of ginger and wasabi. Food quality was excellent and the conveyer belt concept is so cool. Our food was literally delivered to our table by a robot that cheerfully wished us a nice meal every time it dropped off plates of food. We did end up with one item we ordered not being delivered, but our host removed it from the bill when I explained this. Food was also very reasonably priced. You definitely want to go out of your way to check this place out of you're in the neighborhood....
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. Heaven knows we need a good sushi place on the island. Unfortunately this isn't it. It's passable, but not great. The rice had no flavor. Just tasted like plain rice. Also, the fish quality was only ok and cut very thinly. Though I didn't select any, I could see that the spicy tuna, spicy salmon etc looked minced and scooped into rolls or on top. Common practice, but not preferable. Lastly, though my wife liked the shrimp tempura, it can better described as fried shrimp since it didn't have the flaky panko crust typical of tempura.
The setting is nice and clean and the layout was nice. But there wasn't a big selection of sushi passing by on the conveyor belt. Also, orders delivered by the robotic trollies was a fun novelty. But they are so high up, reaching for them became a pain. After a few orders the novelty wore off and we wished the orders were just brought to the table...
Read moreLiving in a Small town our food options are limited. We recently had a local Sushi company close the door after many years of service which left only 1 Small store for getting some local Sushi. Which is pretty (Fair).
Was told of this new place over the weekend and thought to give it a try. As I only ordered Takeout I can not rate the Interior Experience. But did go inside and the place was very clean. Got to see the Revolving Sushi Belt and Robot Servers.
I ordered 4 Rolls as they are only a 4Pc. My meal was Fresh and Delicious. My only drawback was the Quality of the (Wasabi). It was thinking, and mild at best. I am a believer of a Hot Wasabi when eating Sushi. This was less then Satisfactory if I can be a Critic. I will definitely go back and have another go because the food was good. But will state my Opinion on my next experience and hope maybe it was just a bad Mixture. (Most are made from a Powder...
