The Wedding Shoppe — Local services in Radnor Township

I had an incredibly bad experience here--I couldn't believe how unprofessional and downright mean the saleswomen are. Within minutes of walking in, my sister overheard one of the saleswomen making a very snobby and unkind comment about how I was dressed (wearing a very nice blouse and jeans--I guess I was expected to show up in a formal gown?)

Unforgivably, they treated my mother with incredible disrespect. They acted like she was some kind of peasant, making endless comments about how pricey THESE dresses are, so maybe we should look at this rack instead? We had an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses, and while we were perusing someone actually went up to my mother and asked, "Are you shopping, or just dreaming?" What a miserable person. You really would have thought we were on the set of Pretty Woman, not an upscale bridal shop. Just shameful.

I never got the chance to give them a budget, but they immediately assumed we were shopping out of our league. I had been to the store before, I knew very well what to expect. Save yourself a miserable time and skip this shop. My mom and sister drove in from out of state to get some wedding planning done, they ruined what was supposed to be a nice day and made us all feel humiliated and judged.

Note: I confronted our sales associate and another employee before we left about her awful treatment of my mother and their repeated insults. Nothing was done, no apology was offered. This wasn't one bad egg having a bad day, this is the accepted culture of that shop....

If your looking for a rude sales experience this is your place. If your looking for someone to tell you prices of dresses over the phone start at $2500 this is your place! If you're looking for the sales women/ owner (Im assuming) to interrupt you and your bridesmaids with sarcastic comments and attitude this is your place! If you don't mind her telling you those dress over there are "pricey" this is you're place. Four educated women walk into a bridal salon, 30 minutes early mind you and are insulted from beginning to end. I would tell you the women's name but Im pretty sure, she didn't offer it to us. We looked at maybe 7-9 dresses in 45 minutes thats how quickly and rudely she helped us! Weddings are about being happy I would think the people in the industry would try and be just that ..

PS In case you don't get why I would be offended about the "prices", you never assume what a person can or can't spend before even meeting them. my $200 Bridesmaid dress budget could have gone to that $325 Monique L. "pricey" section. My bridesmaids are traveling to Jamaica for my wedding each paying flight and accommodations. That really is here nor there. A Wonderful Wedding Dress Experience!

My daughter found her perfect wedding gown for her June 2025 wedding at The Wedding Shoppe, and the entire experience was amazing from start to finish! Pattie, Donna and the team were so kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful in guiding her to the gown of her dreams. The onsite alterations is also convenient, and Christine was amazing! Dana looked absolutely exquisite on her wedding day!

We also ordered the bridesmaids' gowns (from Dessy) through the shop, which made the process easy and seamless. They even shipped the gowns to the bridesmaids who lived out of state so they could be altered elsewhere! The girls looked stunning!

The shop has a great selection of wedding gowns, with a nice variety of designers and price ranges to suit a reasonable budget. Also, if you're short on time, don't miss the sale gowns downstairs—there are some beautiful finds available!
