Ultimate Bake Shoppe of Wayne — Restaurant in Radnor Township

Had my hopes up after seeing the high reviews, but was disappointed with an overall average experience of items purchased at the store. Not sure if it was just an off day or quality control issues. Of three items purchased - (1) chocolate chip cookies were a 3.5-4.0 stars, they were thin, crunchy, kind of tasty, but one of the six cookies had just one chip?; (2) large size red velvet cupcakes 2.0 stars, the frosting was above average, but would have like a touch more cream cheese accents, the cake itself was really poor - it was dense and dry, almost to the point of being inedible :( (3) mixed berry pie with crumble topping 3.0-3.5 stars the filling had a lot of apple slices (I did not know that apples were considered berries, but sales person could have at least mentioned) and filling was a tad “gooey” not as gooey as poor chain store-bought pies, but not the near pure fruit filling of the best pies I’ve encountered...also some of the crumble topping had really hard bits, enough to...

Stephanie made the cake for my recent wedding in August. The planning process was easy, and she took care of all of the arrangements with our venue directly which was one less thing for me to worry about. She took our vision for the day into mind, sent us home (due to COVID) with some great samples so that we could test out which cakes we liked, and was also able to provide cake flowers which was awesome. The cake was beautiful and elegant, and turned out exactly how I had hoped but most importantly it tasted great! I would highly recommend Stephanie and Ultimate Bake Shoppe of Wayne to make a treat for any special event...

I had the absolute best experience working with Stephanie! When we went to the cake tasting, Stephanie was completely prepared with an array of cake flavors, icings, and fillings. She even made sure to include gluten free options for my mom (and they tasted amazing!). On the day of our wedding, the final product honestly blew me away! The cake was even better than I could have imagined and by the end of the night was completely gone! – our guests absolutely loved it.
