This store is wonderful, and I was amazed because it actually one of the best store in Sacramento that I been too, it have lots of Pokémon card, graded card and other cards, I give it a 4 stars because I came to this store because of my son, his birthday was coming on 9/2/2024 n he wanted a early gift, he found the store online and wanted me to take him to the store, I didn’t wanted to go at first because it was getting late, but man how can u said no when they pushing you to go. We got to the store, and ooh boy my son fall in love with the store, everything was going great, there an gentleman employee came up to my son n tell him how great the folder that he holding was n it put a big smile in my son face, n my son can’t stop talking about how cool he was. my son pointing at Pokémon cards, Pokemon boxes n teaching me about Pokemon cards but there was some over the counter that my son wanted to look, there was two lady, employees that in the other side of the counter, after the older lady employee finished talking to a customer, my son ask the older lady for help while I’m standing next to my kid, it seem she didn’t wanted to help, didn’t said anything to us, making eye contact with the other employee in front of me, than the excitement vibes that i have earlier with my son kind of went away. But I didn’t want to ruin my son excitement so I didn’t said anything to the older lady, so I ask the younger lady for help, she was great, she help n my son finally pick the prize he wanted, than we check out $300dollar worth, younger lady employee even give my son a student discount. Everyone in the store was great but the older lady, I hope she don’t judge people or make them feel uncomfortable like she did to me. But store is great, they will...
Read moreMy past 2 experiences here were very poor unfortunately. They have a great selection of product, some reasonably priced, some not. Anyways, both times I’ve gone here I have had to wait forever to even get help. The employees at the time I was there were pretty unprofessional. And today I went in with a few cards to trade in for other cards. I got an okay trade value for store credit so decided to look around and find something I like. I ended up finding a card I was interested in and after having to wait 15 minutes to even look theough a case, I was told that I couldn’t use my trade in value to anything in the case which is really interesting cause I was here a week or so ago and literally did a trade/store credit from the same case. And there was also no sign or poster acknowledging you can’t use store credit or trade towards anything in this particular case. Always feels like i’m inconveniencing the staff just cause I have questions and or concerns. Won’t be back.
UPDATE: It's extremely misleading having another case in your shop with price tags with no clear indication that the items inside are not available with store credit. Maybe add a sign or a poster or something? And if your prices are based off of TCG player, then why are your 151 ETBS going for $220 plus tax when they're market value is under $200? And your professional employees show up to work with hardly any clothes on and curse and yell across the store to eachother. Your response is the cherry on top as to why I won't be...
Read moreI have been here 3 times since January. I don’t live in Sacramento; I live in the East Bay, so when I come here, this is one of my stops because I like visiting multiple stores there. In my three visits here, speaking specifically for Pokémon, the store has always been scarce in its selection. I would say this store is focused on the gameplay aspect of the TCG, which is cool by me. I’m not a player, I like to collect. Armed with that information on my 2nd visit, I took a binder full of regular EX cards, ace specs, and full art trainers. They gave me store credit for it, which is fine, but their store credit is extremely RESTRICTIVE, as I learned today on my third visit. You can’t purchase a sealed product with store credit or use it for Slabs in their display, nor can I use it for loose packs that they had. I bought one card today for 12$. I still have 128$ in credit. I believe it will be a while before I can use it. I wasn’t too fond of the store opening at 3, and they were restocking a case at 430PM. They have in-store vendors with lovely cards in their cases, but we couldn’t purchase because the vendors weren’t there then, and I was told I can’t use my store credit for that either. In my opinion, we should be able to use credit on sealed products or loose packs. You’ll sell the cards for more than credit you gave me, so why can't I use it on any product in the store? The employees really nice tho but it’s just the restrictive store credit that really makes me feel...
