Premium spray in bed liner was done nicely, only reason why it got two stars. Got my 2020 ram 1500 sprayed today, called in and they were able to take me 20 minutes later. As soon as I got there I told AJ the store manager (I think) can you make a note to not roll down my windows as I just got them tinted less than 24 hours ago. He said ok and he'll let the guys know. So I sat in the waiting room for about 2 hours until I saw my truck drive past, tail gate down with both the front windows rolled completely down. Another employee followed the truck and made a motion with his hands to roll up the windows because the windows were rolled up quickly after. Seeing that was pretty upsetting. Especially when no one came to get me in the waiting room or notify me that the truck was done. Randomly decided to stand outside 30 minutes later of staring at my truck from inside the building when a random employee directed me to go inside the garage to pay for my truck. As soon as I approached the desk, AJ was there again and told me the total ($675). I asked if I could check out the work before paying, so we walked over to the truck which was on the street and instantly noticed one tailgate screw was half way in. Not a big deal. AJ said he would take care of it. I was waiting for him to bring up that the windows were accidentally rolled down but he didn't (maybe he didn't know). So I asked why the windows were rolled down when the truck past me. He said no they weren't, so I explained what I saw. He "didn't know" and would tell his employees because there was a specific note on the work order not to. He also told me he would take care of it if any bubbling occurred. Am I supposed to drive back so they can fix it? Or reimburse me? Anyhow we go back to pay and he discounts me $25 for rolling down the windows. Is that the same $25 off coupon that was on yelp? Nope. I didn't get that discount because Yelp guided me to review the business before getting the discount. Maybe now I'll get that $25 off yelp coupon for reviewing the business. They added their "Line-X" badge on the truck. I didn't ask for that as my vehicle is not a rolling advertisement for them. Usually when getting work done to a vehicle they give you stickers or etc to put where ever you want or possibly discount the product to advertise on your vehicle which was not the case. Hopefully a heat gun and some fishing line will...
Read moreWhile at the doctors office, I went on line and filled out a quote request and inquired about the Tonneau Retrax Pro. Within an hour, Ryan called me and gave me a verbal quote along with an email. The quote on the email was pretty much the same throughout my other searches but I appreciated Ryans friendly and professional attitude and told him I would call them back once I made up my mind.
The email was actually a little misleading because it said install was “2.5 hrs @ $155”. I interpreted that as the total cost for installation but $155 was actually their hourly rate. I was contemplating to install it myself and save on the installation fees but opted to have them install it instead.
I went in spoke to John who ordered the bed cover which would be in sometime the next morning. John was supposed to call me when it got in but forgot. Instead I called and spoke to Ryan who confirmed it did arrive in the morning and ready to install.
I immediately drove to the shop and met with Ryan and had the cover installed. After installation, Ryan went through the operation of the cover and explained to me to make sure I register the product with the manufacturer.
I did notice a slight gap between the tailgate and the cover which would allow water in. Ryan immediately took my truck back in the shop and made the necessary adjustment. It took approximately 10 minutes to fix.
I am completely satisfied with their installation. Operation is flawless and I see no deficiencies or operational issues with the cover. I received numerous compliments about the cover and very happy with it.
Ryan and John provided professional and friendly service and I was able to get my cover on in a short period of time. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely come back for my future...
Read moreThird is my first spray in bed liner and Empire Motorsports was the closest to my home. I was asked to be at the shop by 730-8am to drop the truck off for the 4- hour job. I arrived at 745 and was told that due to an employee calling off, my truck would be done by 5pm.
I hung out in the area due to the long drive back to my home, I returned to Empire at about 3pm on the off chance it was done, to find my truck, sitting in the parking lot, untouched with another truck in the shop being spayed. I also noticed no less than three other trucks in front of the business with freshly spayed beds (none of them were there when I dropped my truck off).
I was told my truck was next and would be done at 5.... how they intended to do a 4- hour job in an hour and a half I didn't know but I went outside and hung in the shade. At 430 my truck rolled out to the street, all done. I have no idea what if any prep work was done, my guess is little to none, there simply was not enough time to have properly done much of anything, no way.
I don't understand how/ why I was the first or second truck there and the last truck done. I also don't understand how one man got a 4- hour job done in one, I'm legitimately concerned there was no prep done under the spray liner and I really hope I don't have issues.
The line x badge was crooked, like really bad when it first came out, a sign of how fast the job was done and how little the dude cared. They made it right but I was not out of there until 515pm
The employees were friendly and helpful and the business clean, just no appointment schedule or anything as far...
