TLDR; They sold us rancid food and and would not give us a refund or store credit.
My mother has been shopping at this store for a few months. I love to support small business and so we she offered to take me to the store I jumped at the opportunity. When I went with her I purchased some baklava among other things. I brought it home and me and my cousin both popped a piece in our mouths. The product was rancid and we both look at each other and immediately spit them out. I tried to return it and when we did the clerk called the store owner and she said that they cannot refund us because all sales are final. So we asked for store credit. The clerk suggested that they couldn't resale the food because it had been opened. To which retorted that you should not have sold it in the first place because you are going to make someone sick. I suggested that she call the store owner back and let him know that if he didn't make it right that he was going to loose more than $8, but that he was going to loose a customer. My recommendation is don't shop at this store because they sell products that may make you sick and they are not willing to stand behind their products.
Edit after the owner replied: I am quite certain the clerk understood where we were coming from. We even had her contact the owner twice. Wanting to support a local business I wanted to make sure that the store had a chance to correct the problem. As a small business owner myself I understand that every cent counts but this behavior of valuing the cents over the health and safety of the customer along with a lack of willingness to correct an error on the part of the business just makes me feel that the community would be better served with them going out...

The staff that work here are always so friendly, kind and helpful. Some of the products they have are new to me and they are always so helpful in describing and recommending new items. I'm a huge pistachio fan and they have a lovely variety to choose from. If you like nuts this is the place! Read moreI love this store! There is not a lot of places around to buy locally roasted nuts and imported goods from the Middle East. This place is that and more to me. Some of my personal favorites are the rose jam and rose tea leaves, sardines, Turkish delight, lime pistachios and the friendliness of the staff. The staff are always helpful, and go out of their way to make us feel at home. I have been back to the store a total of four times, and plan to continue to do so. If you are looking for off-path wonders, you would serve yourself well to take a look at their wares. And get some lime pistachios too :) Edit 5/13/2025: I now regularly visit this store and have been doing so for months and have yet to have a single...
