Service during this visit was less than what we're used to at IHOP. Our waitress served us coffee right away but there was no creamer on the table; we thought she went to the kitchen to get creamer but she disappeared for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, we asked the manager if we could move to a different table, for personal reasons. He also got us creamer if I remember correctly. We kept waiting and got very close to putting some cash on the table for the coffee and leaving, but then our waitress showed up again and asked if she had taken our orders yet (the menus in front of us weren't a clue?). There were no apologies. When our food arrived, one plate had some seriously underdone eggs that we had to send back to the kitchen, and another plate had the order wrong. Anyway, we ended up having as good a breakfast as can be expected and we assumed that the waitress was either new at the job or wasn't having her day. However when things at a restaurant go wrong like this, usually the staff bends over backwards to make sure that the rest of the meal goes perfectly, and that didn't happen. That's why my rating for service lost a few stars. Fortunately we've been here before and we know this is not how things usually go....

we’ve visited this IHOP at least once a year for at least the past 5 years and today i arrived with very hungry family for my mom’s birthday breakfast & ordered our meals with two mugs of hot chocolate which seemed perfectly fine. however after stirring them and taking a few sips we noticed a small brown blob in the middle of the mug my grandmother was sipping out of, thinking it was just unmelted chocolate powder we stirred a few more times but when it refused to melt away we pushed the blob up the side of the mug and were horrified to see that it was a COCKROACH!!!! we were mortified especially because my grandmother and dad had taken sips out of the cocoa. we immediately notified the waitress who told the manager. they apologized however someone tried to make the excuse that the cockroach fell into the mug from the ceiling which was idiotic because we definitely would have noticed something dropping into the mug. we were very hungry and did have some hesitation about leaving but in the end had no choice but to walk out because we were too disgusted and could no longer trust the cleanliness of...
Read moreWent to IHOP in Rancho Cucamonga on Christmas morning as we do every year. This year however, we chose to meet my parents at the restaurant on Archibald in R. C. Honestly, it's NOT like the IHOP up the Pass in Hesperia, that's for sure. We were not pleased with the Chicken Fried Steam with Gravy my wife ordered and my Mother was not happy with the order of Biscuits & gravy as well. The gravy did not look nor did it taste like Country Gravy at all, thus making their breakfast experience less than what it could have been. We don't believe returning to that particular IHOP is in the stars for us in the future. We will stick to IHOP in Hesperia. The service is ALWAYS top-notch, the food there is ALWAYS hot and flavorful, the atmosphere is ALWAYS warm and inviting. The only positive at IHOP Rancho Cucamonga was our waitress. She was younger but sweet, kind, helpful and it was not her fault the food items mentioned were less than what we should have been served. If my wife had her phone, we would supply a photo of the items ordered. Won't return to that restaurant. I don't even want to recommend any food items...
