Me and my family have been coming here for a lot of years but yesterday me and my fiance had a bad experience. We just got off a really long work shift and decided to grab some food here. As we ordered the cash register girl was unprofessional. I was explaining my order and because I was super exhausted she was irritated that I was taking my time to order and I don't speak one lick of Spanish and it showed that, it bothered her but as soon as my fiance spoke Spanish it was a different story, she made me feel really dumb when ordering but not when it came to my fiamce. She was flirting and trying to showing off. She was singing obnoxiously loud while people were trying to eat and talk. As we waited for our $60 food she labeled our food wrong and didn't give us any utensils to eat. We couldn't check our food because she tied the bag shut. By the time we got to our destination to eat we had no napkins and no utensils. Had to go all the way home just to eat when we wanted to park and enjoy our food. As much as that girl was singing and being obnoxious she should have cared about her job more and treated her customer that doesn't speak Spanish with RESPECT instead of flirting and showing off in front of her costumers man. Hope for a better experience next time. Also me and my sister went earlier in the day to get food for lunch and even my sister didn't have anything nice to say about the cashier girl when picking up our food that girl expected my sister to tip her and my sister found that to be very rude to just expect a tip for picking up our food. The seating used to be better but now their seating area isn't all the great anymore. My sister also thought the cashier girl was rude when we went to go pick up...
Read moreThe burrito is quite possibly (and arguably so) the perfect meal. You can practically take it anywhere with you. You can eat it with one hand or two. You can eat it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And in terms of stuffing, you can basically put anything in there, though certain combination are best left to the imagination. From where I live, there are at least 10 places that offer burritos. Two are well known fastfood chains and a bunch of sit down restaurants of varying seating capacity. Through the years, I have tried them all except one place - the Fat Burrito. I really can't explain why I've never been here before. Maybe, I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I recently came here and the food was like a revalation. I really can't explain it, but It was like my taste buds were finally awken from a deep slumber. The burrito I had tasted fresh. It tasted new; it tasted different. The burritos here reminded me of my childhood growing up in the bay area and a having mission burrito for the first time. Though the style of the Fat Burrito is different than a mission style burrito, it was like having a burrito for the first time. I came here twice already in a week and this place is awesome. Check this place out. I really do want to kick myself for not trying this...
Read moreFirst and foremost, the flavors are very authentic. I'm wanting more. The meats are seasoned and cooked to perfection, so as to bring a perfect respect for the animals that made them possible. The menu is very simple yet loaded with possibilities.....just ask. The three in-house salsas are amazing. The "hot" is indeed hot and flavorful, accenting perfectly anything it touches. The portions are spot on appropriate for the prices. If you want a snack, they have it. If you want a feast, they have that too. The pass window connecting the front of the house to the back of the house is wide open, so you can see your food being made and the care that goes into it. That's gold. And most importantly, the staff. It's so very obvious that they appreciate their customers because they smile with their eyes and they will accommodate any request that they can. That too is gold. So stop in and see for yourself the treasure Alta Loma has acquired, then tell everyone you know...and maybe a few...
