I went in to the bakery after searching for the perfect place to get my fiancé a custom birthday cake at the end of August for an October surprise birthday. 6 weeks in advance. Upon arrival I waited about 10 minutes before I was greeted or asked if I needed assistance. Nevertheless, I presented a picture and described in detail exactly what I wanted. When they asked for the name going on the cake and learned my fiancé was a female, I was told, “oh goodness, we are going to be booked and not able to make it” I can provide you our a referral to another bakery. I politely declined, and left to search for another bakery on my own feeling my business was not accepted. Fast forward to January 2024. Our wedding venue, Vellano Estates by Wedgewood Weddings, provided this bakery as a vendor. So, we decided to we still booked a cake tasting appointment. Upon arrival, the lady stated, oh, you look familiar, were you just at the event a couple weeks ago held by Wedgewood?, I replied, no ma’am, however came to this establishment seeking services and I was declined. She apologized and stated oh, we only do custom cakes for 50 guests or more that was probably why they referred you elsewhere. I replied, well my request was for 50 or more and based on the cakes you had on display, my cake request was much more larger than a few of these cakes. As we continued with the appointment, the atmosphere felt very tensed. Finally, she realized we paid for the elite package at the venue, she desperately tried to obtain our business. Yes, we were paying top dollar. After the appointment was completed, I was given a week to call back to move forward with their services. I did not call nor did I received call to follow-up. I will never refer or use this establishment. Simply based off of their...
Read moreCucamonga Cakery recently started curbside pick up. I follow them on Instagram and every week they've been posting items available for curbside pickup on the weekends. Some items include slices of cake, ice cream sandwiches, cookie sandwiches, and other yummy desserts like cream puffs, Eclairs and more.
One day, I noticed that they posted about Ice Cream Sandwiches (with shortbread cookies) and since it's been so hot, that sounded amazing. Each order came with 2 ice cream sandwiches and were $12.
There's a link to a form that you need to fill out so they know how many to make for that weekend. I ordered a 2-Pack of Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwiches and a 2-Pack of Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwiches.
We could pick them up on Saturday from 9:00am-1:00pm. When we arrived, we just told them my name and they came out to our car with our order. We paid via credit card and stayed in the car. The whole process was pretty simple and everyone wore a mask.
The ice cream sandwiches themselves were pretty large and super thick. We both tried one of each and both were delicious. It might be pricey, but boy it was soooo good. My husband keeps asking me when we are going to get more so I've been on the look out for when they will have it again.
We just went back again today since they had more ice cream sandwiches! I also ordered a Ding Dong Dong and an Apple Fritter Ice Cream Sandwich. Everything we’ve tried so far is delicious and the owner is...
Read moreAs someone who works in the wedding industry I knew what bakery I wanted as soon as I got engaged. I have worked with Cucamonga professionally for over 100 weddings, so I knew going into it that my cake would not only look great, but also taste amazing. We did sample other bakeries but of course no one compared to Cucamonga. There are so many reasons to love this bakery, but one of my favorites is that is a family run business. For our cake we had snickerdoodle, marble with fudge, lemon with raspberry, and kahlua chip. You cannot go wrong with Cucamonga, brides do yourselves a favor and go with Cucamonga for your cake, you and your guests will not be...
